Actually I think that is a very reasonable prediction.
i want another bowl in arizona...
Insight Bowl in year 4 = fantastic.
actually id rather end up in pasadena
And with both UT and OU in BCS games, which basically moves everybody up a notch...
OTOH, he basically puts us third in the north, behind the fuskers and KU. Not a totally off the wall prediction, although I actually think we are a good team and have the potential to go quite a ways in the playoffs... or at least have a good season.... :smile2: I'd love to see us get that Holiday Bowl bid, or at least take the Sun Bowl spot from KU...
Interesting he has ISU, KjSU, aTm and (especially, imo) Baylor all failing to be bowl eligible...
Holiday Bowl !
Booooooooo. NFL Network.
Holiday Bowl all the way. Good bowl, good competition, solid So Cal alumni base, positive effects on recruiting, the list goes on.
I kind of like the idea of the Insight Bowl, myself. I'm about 2 miles from there as I write. :smile2:
I don't think the Insight Bowl deserves three exclamation points.
Actually, my freshman year (barnett's last), we were this close to going to the San Diego. The bowl committee visited multiple times and their giant flag made an appearance at Folsom. They really wanted us that year and if we had won one more game that year we probably would have gone.
Even I agree with that
Yes, that was the year of the epic collapse. Losses to ISU, NU and the debacle against UT sealed GB's fate. I remember thinking that we should have gone to the Holliday Bowl, but was glad that we didn't, seeing how the season ended.
well, we were 6-2 (with losses at Miami and Texas) and then puked all over ourselves at ISU and (still baffling to this day) got run off Folsom Field by NU....in a off-weak full of Barnett oozing (over) confidence. Pick one either of those as "one more win"...because the next week UT made us their prison girl.
Pretty reasonable prediction in my book. You're going to have NU, MU, KU, and CU from the north and I'd say OU, UT, OSU, TT, and Baylor from the south. Remember that aside from the conference champion, the rest of the bowls take whoever they want and the bowls are the ones that select in order. A big part of that is how that team's fanbase will travel and how appealing they will be to television. Ex: The Gator Bowl could've taken MU over NU last season but didn't because they knew that NU fans would travel and that NU was excited to be in a bowl whereas MU fans were disappointed with their team falling flat on their face when they were supposed to make a BCS bowl at the least.
