Saw this from YungC on Rivals: it's now Tre'Shaun [strike]Lexing[/strike] Fletcher

I love the freshmen next year.

    Hopkins
    Fletcher
    Thomas
    Gordon (RS)
    Jenkins (RS)

Lots of talent getting infused into the rotation.

Any thoughts of if we will see some of these new guys Red-shirt? Seems that if they dont, we have a loaded class next year instead of this year.

Tad probably has an idea but I would guess he would wait to see them practice first.

The talent level on this team just continues to improve. Scary thing is, I think we're going to take an even bigger leap with the 2014 class.

They are all firmly committed correct? I know in football, recruits switch their commitment on signing day sometimes. Just don't want that to happen here.

    I'm not worried about it.

There is going to be a time in our future where we are a legit 10 deep, I don't think we are there right now.

So do Hopkins, Fletcher and Thomas fill out the available spots for 2013? Still looking to pick up any others or transfers for this class?

I would be shocked if we're not done for 2013. We're over the scholarship limit if everyone returns and there were a lot of questions on whether we should even take 3 this year instead of just 2.

Smaller class, obviously. It also doesn't have the headliners that last year did. Scott and XJ were Top 75 guys in 2012. For 2013, Hopkins is a Top 150 and Fletch is just outside of that, which is about what Gordon was last year. Thomas didn't get attention until late in the process and not rated high, but everyone who has scouted him seems to love him.

Basically, this class will be ranked in the middle of the conference. But then if you hear interviews with the analysts who cover this stuff for a living they all say that CU got some excellent athletes with a lot of upside and they're perfect fits for our system. It sounds like this is going to be a class that adds length, athleticism, explosiveness and outside shooting. Simply put, we just got a lot better as a basketball team even though we won't see CU listed among the Top 25 classes anywhere.
