What to do with Section 117?

What to do with Section 117?

Quick question - is this an actual debate about what could be happening or is this an allbuffs what if type thread?

Mike Bohn now gets his marching orders from Allbuffs. Has for a while, actually. We just don't publicize it much. :wink2:

Let the kids keep the seats. Invest in whatever device of torture necessary to make sure they get TO them; it is dienchanting when they don't until half the game is almost over. Ensure two students above are barred at the gate.

Everyone should be able to agree to this plan.

I'm not trying to make excuses but it is tough for kids on a Saturday be at these early games after thirsty Thursday and Friday night if partying. I know it was tough for my friends and I but then again most of us didn't have much energy until Hawk got fired.

what the **** is *****?

is it plural for ****? and if so, how many do you have...

is it plural for ****? and if so, do you actually collect that ****?

enquiring minds want to know...

Considering this is Philly we're talking about, I suspect it starts with p and ends with ussy.... :smile2:

Oh I do and kicking the students out of 117 and putting them in the nose bleed is still a socialist, communist, and/or Fascist idea.

Point one: there are no nosebleeds at Folsom.
Point two: if they were to move the students, it would be for purely capitalistic reasons. It's not like they're out to get the students, subjugate them to some kind of awful living conditions, rob them of their rights, or any other socialistic, fascist, or communist driven goals. There would be no loss of student seating. They'd just be moved. A little.

all I am going to say is that the university is the students and they deserve to have good seats. can you imagine the swamp kicking the students away from the field or duke not letting them have the sidelines for basketball games. it would be a sad state of affairs if we were to do this.

BUT BUT BUT those with money should get the good seats! It's not fair those across the isle from me paid a fraction what I paid!

Kicking the students of of 117 is beyond a terrible idea unless all you think about is money and profits first, then it might look like a good idea I guess.

very nice.... I havent given you too much chance to **** on me....

so good one...

ummm... as a mod, why do the number of asterisks not match the number of letters in the "bad" word anymore?

I mean that is ****ed up ****!

I am gonna blame the website for adding asterisks.... that is the only **** ing explanation I have.... or Junctions works...

Not sure if this point has been brought up in the 6 pages I didn't read.....BUT, if anyone has ever sat in Section 117 recently, you'd find that 50% of the folks are not students but regular season ticket holders that don't sit in their crappy seats when they can pay minimum for the best seats in the house (yes, I have indeed done this on many occasions).

I actually hardly doubt making the move would have any impact on the students, except for the few that actually care enough about the program to notice (which from my recent bouts in the student section is a very small faction)

Yep. Long after the Ralphie run, it's halfway through the first quarter and a fair number of those seats in 117 are vacant, of course some people are going for the informal "upgrade".

If you are going to argue along the lines of spirit, then atleast have the insight to support 117 being first come, first serve.
