Who Will be the Buffs' First 2016 Commit?

With a small class this year, Coach MacIntyre certainly won't be taking the same approach as last year. So will it be one of the top in-state kids? An immediate result of the new defensive hires? A playmaker looking to ride the wave of a quickly improving and promising CU offense?

When?

Whoever it is Mac needs to make sure they can be the "face" of the class that starts it off with a bang and gets others attention. He kind of needs to be that player that recruits others with his name if we are going to have the class we all want this year.

With the size of the class being smaller than most, I'd guess that the first commit will largely depend on a few factors. If it's a blue chip guy who wants to commit soon, they'll take the commitment. If it's a diamond in the rough type, I suspect they'll slow play him until the end of the season. The worst thing they could do is take a project early in this class.

If JoJo wants to commit, they'd probably take the commitment. He is probably the highest rated kid who has the highest liklihood of coming to CU right now, and he's also an in-state kid. It also meets a glaring, desperate need.
