Why I think the 2012 Buffs will be better.

To add some perspective on the level of physical ability at CU, here's another look at the athlete who blew up Doug Rippy:

Mark Wetmore >> Mike Bohn
Dan Hawkins >> Jon Embree
Creatini >> Bruce Benson
Oh hey look I can do the same thing as you can. Robert Woods must suck afterall he got drilled by Derrick Webb last year (skip to 1:29):

Chris Owusu must suck to because he got nailed a few times as well.

Sorta back to the topic - can I just say how psyched I am to have a running back that weighs more than 175 pounds (my high school sophomore year RB weight).

You may not know it, but with Colorado's tremendous game against Stanford, CU Football has vaulted all the way up to BCS #110.

Last week, we were #111.

Giant leap-!

While B&G and I have argued most of the points he stated originally, I hope he'll re-address all of these points and argue valid-invalid issues as the season closes. He's a good writer.

looking for some prediction threads from last year and found this one, will bump any other i find, will be fun to see how delusional we all were.

abs,

you have a very, very twisted soul, reminding us all of this. can't we pretend for another week that things will be better this season? i realize we are probably starting the smallest group of 22, on average, of any program in a major conference. i realize we have no depth. i just want to pretend that they may find a way to not suck, at least until the reality of the season hits me square in the face.

over under on wins for this year is .8 where would you be?

that's going to leave a mark.

We will be favored in no games including central Arky, essentially this is saying on a one off we dont think you can win any games but we also think it is highly unlikely that you'll lose every game.

you have to be really, really, really bad to go winless in college football. last season was the worst team in CU history by nearly every metric one can think of. yet, it won a game and should probably have won 1-2 more.

i think we will win at least one game in 2013. someone will be caught off guard or we'll get a few lucky breaks in a row and it will result in at least 1 win.

if we go 0-12, it would be...

indescribably bad.

Where can I find this in Vegas? I am all in for over, and I have a generally dismal outlook for this year.

But I will take all the 0.8 action I can get. Ease tell me where.

statistical model, no casino's I have seen with it, but it would lead me to believe you should take the under on any action that is 2-2.5 wins or more.

If I was in Vegas right now and could find anticipated spreads in every game, I would probably take the Buffs in almost all of them. Kool-Aid definitely ingested.

3.5 wins was the over/under in Vegas back in June. CU, UK, KU, Illinois all had the lowest odds for BCS teams

Guess I can see why fans want to believe this team is going to surprise people. But man, predicting wins against teams like Fresno State, Oregon State and the like seem to be way out there.

Last year, there were some warning signs that I thought the team would struggle, but I bought into the realistic goal of 6 wins and a Bowl game. This year, I just want to see the team being competitive. Don't think it's really fair to judge Mac too much, as long as we can see some signs of improvement with the team. Year 2 will be the real barometer on whether he can be successful here or not imo.

Reading this and the other threads from last year have helped me understand why some ABers are so butt-hurt this year - they were bathing in hope and optimism then. For them, this year must be like the morning after a hard drunk. To them I say: Suck it up, Sally, your team needs you.
