Why will next years team be better?

What is respectable in your mind? Who does it involve beating?

How about anyone in our conference, that would be a start.

To me respectability is when we are no longer an automatic W on anyone's schedule. When school record aren't being set against us. When making a bowl game is routine and even when we are struggling that teams feel they need to take us seriously.

Tini and Slider need to fight it out, seriously. It's the only thing I think will turn CU's tide. It's a gravitational pull that is screwing this all up

So any other team other than USC this year?

Yup, we regressed today. We made many mistakes, huge, often, and game destroying. Laid an Egg.

Hoped we were done with that phase, but no. Did not come out of bye week with any mojo.

However, we are still going to hook a win or two this year. Against a good team. Our talent is more advanced than our confidence and maturity at present.

Yes, we will be better in 2015.

We could improve significantly next year ... And still go winless in conference (like we will this year). The question is: are you improving faster than any of the other PAC 12 teams. I don't think so. Cal, Utah and WSU are all trending upward and those were the teams we were closest to talent wise. The next tier (UW, OSU, the Az schools) are significantly ahead already. Do any of them lose a ton and not have young guys waiting to take the reins? Not from what I can tell. I've been saying this for 5-6 years now: we are the Iowa State of the PAC 12. Perennial cellar dwellers who might have the occasional surprise year. Unless something completely unforeseen happens ... Like a couple mid tier PAC 12 schools go into a tailspin with a coaching or recruiting scandal or something.

The only thing I can think that might be better is that many of the conf schools have sr QBs and will have to break in new ones next year. I would bet that many of them have 3rd stringers that could start at CU. One other possible positive is that there are a number of lineman waiting to play. But good ****ing grief, if they can't start now will it actually be an upgrade next season?

Hoping that a bunch of incoming freshman d-lineman will come in and buttress a weak d-line and line backers is like looking at porn and thinking you are getting real pussy.

Some say a year more experience will help. You get your ass beat this year, it is likely you will get it beat just as bad next year.

I just don't see it happening. If MacIntyre stays around for 4 or 5 years maybe the tide will turn.

The only way CU will improve is if some other team in the conference drops down. CU is the cellar dweller in this conference.

Recruiting has been better, and

The schedule is a bit easier next year. Hawaii, CSU, Nicholls State, and UMass on the non-conference schedule. There's a chance of 4-0 there. More likely 3-1.

Conference schedule remains the same. I'd expect 3-10.

Coaching up what we have will continue to get better.

I honestly see us becoming the Mizzou of the PAC-12

Based on what? Both former Big XII members with a similar color scheme?

We'll be marginally better next year. Maybe 5 wins. The problem we are facing now is the Pac-12 South is becoming the second best division in college football. So even with improvement, we will still be the worst team in the division, likely by far.

Well, I'm still pissed. Ill still back the team, can't bring myself to turn my back or give up. I want to see these guys succeed badly, I was very frustrated after the game. I'm just sick of this. How many times does it take for them to find out they aren't good enough to gift wrap possessions for teams? Tired of teams not just converting but scoring on like a 3rd and 9, that's not excusable to me. Well, I watched in the good times, ill watch in the bad too. Sure would be nice to have something good happen for a change. Yes they have improved, they didn't show that last night.

In one short year, McIntyre has lost 40 pounds. The CUAD has raised $50M, broke ground and constructed premium seating on the N or NE side of Folsom.

Losing weight and keeping it off is not easy. Working on a major stadium renovation with an iron clad deadline is not easy.

Recruiting top football players and coaching them to perform well in Boulder, CO, one of the most livable cities in America, is, apparently as hard as forging a peace agreement in the Middle East.

This question shouldn't be asked until the end of the year, as opposed to immediately after the first blowout loss of the season. Loaded question.

Wtf is wrong with some of you? Prior to yesterday we had 3 conference losses by an average of 7 points and I will argue the refs cost us two of the games. If Spruce comes back our offense will be better (it's already top 25 in the country), and most of our defense returns with lots of guys playing for the first time this year. So if all that isn't the difference in winning these close games we barely lost, I'll be very surprised.

Sick and tired of being sick and tired is my guess. Nobody is jumping ship, I walked the ****ing plank last night lol. I think it's fair to be critical, there are some issues and we keep seeing them.

I agree. I'm just saying we are much improved and should be next year too
