He will wind up at UC-Davis, his alma mater. In 2013, his team will beat Cal.

Yes he'll get another shot. He was a big winner at a lower level, so if you're a MAC or Sun Belt school why not?

I've been contemplating that. Dunno. He may become a sky diver for all I know. Be not the parachute, be the rip cord.

he would be an ideal D-II/III coach at a small liberal arts college. seriously. like CC, but CC dropped football. no pressure to win so much, and you get to be philosophical about what you are doing in a building young people sort of way.

    back to Willamette, say.

He could probably land a Big Sky type job and do very well there. He and Misti would probably be a lot happier, too.

Dan Hawkins next job will be working at the stables in never never land, taking care of the unicorns and collecting pixie dust.

You bet he will. Some poor AD will interview him and he'll tell him how Colorado was burned to the ground and they unfairly didn't give him enough time to turn it around. He'll show how close he got to some big wins and how the team GPA was up, etc.

Put up his Boise records too, it isn't as great as the record seems. Look at who he beat, what good teams he beat, who he lost to and his record on the road there too. We should have known better.

Sure, especially downtrodden teams like Utah State or NM State. They have nothing to lose.

The road record thing really gets me. I mean, you would think the law of averages would come in to play to at least throw him a bone every once in awhile.

The reason we got housed in Berkeley is the same reason why Mizzou drubs us every year. It takes a very physical defensive team to man up to these high-flying spread attacks. Cal and Mizzou are very similar, but Hawk still hasn't figured it out how to beat these types.

So who does beat them? Oklahoma and USC routinely do. Sure they have great players, but the D needs to be athletic, disciplined and educated in all the intracacies of a unique offense like this.

While our offense has been pathetic too, its defense that will eventually push Hawk out the door.
