There is a live stream for the race starting in a few hours
It's a balmy 28 degrees in Terre Haute this morning.
Just about ready to begin
I don't know how well I can do play-by-play but I'll post what I can.
At the 2k mark, everyone is still bunched together at the front
Watching live right now.
Ground looks hard & increasingly sloppy. Muddy in spots.
Leaders have just hit 3000m. It's really bunched early, but the Buffs are back. Not among the leaders. Announcers expecting the best teams to make their moves around the 5k mark.
Looks like we're halfway through the race
Highest place Buff at the halfway mark is Morgan Pearson in 16th
At 8k, the leading Buffs are in 11th and 13th
Buffs in 2nd at 8k behind Northern Arizona
19 point difference
NAU is having a great race. Buffs are charging, though.
Oregon freshman wins individual title. Going to be tough to hold off the Ducks next year for a Pac-12 4-peat.
Defeated a senior who has never lost a race by like 20 seconds
Looks like our Freshman Ben Saarel may gotten 9th (if I saw it right)! Sounding like Northern Arizona (just a feeling by the announcers) may have won the team crown.
Just waiting for the team results now but it looks like the Buffs will finish in 2nd behind Northern Arizona.
Got to be NAU. They had a runner who had only been used in 2 meets this year come out of nowhere with a late kick to finish 4th. If everyone else did what was expected, not sure how they didn't take this.
letsrun forum showing some website showing CU as the winner (Of course hope it's true).
that would be crazy.
Comments are saying Buffs win on ncaa.com
They show CU at 149, Northern Arizona 169, OK State 230. Still NOT official.
Make that **** official already.
The announcers now say it. CU WINSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buffs national champs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Announcers are calling it (unofficial):
2. Northern Arizona
3. Oklahoma State
I think it's official now
10 minute break until the women begin
Separate names with a comma.
