Isn't 16 years a little too long away from the game? Thats my only concern.

He left too early, but he really waited a long time if he got the itch to coach again.
 
I've thought a lot about this, and I keep coming back to Danny Snyder hiring Joe Gibbs after the man had been out of coaching for so long. I'd rather keep Mac's past success as a fond memory and a goal for the next guy to reach.
