Embree needs to take a hit for tonight's "performance"

Jury is out whether this guy is head coaching material. When you have performances like this its hard to ignore that.

We better start recruiting better or this isn't going to last long for Embree. Program can't wait 4 years for him to show something when you are constantly getting blown out in conference games.

Correct. Embree talked a lot before the season about Hawaii and UCLA. We lost both.

He is in a horrible situation. Danny Doosh left him with a bare cupboard. He needs to restock with speed and talent, and is having serious problems on that front. And he is inexperienced, as are several members of his staff. Perhaps he can pull a rabbit out of his hat. Meanwhile, we spiral further into college football obscurity.....

True but the Buffs have to perform better than this.

How many guys can we sign this year? We need about 50 new faces.

I don't think Embree was happy that TH decided to "guarantee" this win. In pregame he said something like, "well our QB made this guarantee and I stand by my quarterback."

That to me sounds a lot like ADs when they give the vote of confidence to their coach.

Can't blame Embree for the loss at UCLA. Will give Embree untill his 3rd year on the job. The team is not good enough, we don't have depth, Hawkins did a real poor job of recruiting.

I do agree that our talent is absolutely pathetic... but I don't remember ever seeing such pathetic displays as this year vs UCLA and Ohio State

Does anybody think KSU is more talented than us? Hell their QB went to HS 15 minutes from where I live. I think Embree still needs to get guys to buy into his system, but it is impressive to see what Snyder is doing with such little talent.

Being able to get JuCo's in helps a lot and they are more talented. They have a couple 5* transfers IIRC. Doesn't hurt that Snyder is a top 5 coach all time either.

I do. Sandersfeld, Terror, Espy would all be scout team

We need some good linemen on both sides of the ball first and foremost
Absolutely. We're getting worked in every game on the LOS.

The frustrating part, is that at least on O, I thought our line would have been better than it's been. But, I've thought that should have been the case every year for the last few years... Here's hoping there is real emphasis put on the "big uglies" and we can get some real talent on the lines.

Can't coach speed, look at the first score of the game, Shaq Evans outran the corner and the safety. The players are not good enough. The only fault i have of Embo is that he is too loyal, loyal to players that don't deserve it. I will give embo atleast one more year to get atleast 2-3 recruiting classes in before i make any judgement, but my advise to him, is that he has to make the tough decisions, players that don't buy in should be let go, he shouldn't be loyal to any seniors that are not playing well.

Next year is going to be tough as well. But I am looking forward to how the younger kids and new recruits come in and show what they can do.

For next year I just want this team to still be in contention to win all games in the 4th quarter. Every road game we were out of it by halftime. I dont' know if its better getting your ass kicked every week or to lose them all in the final minutes but I'd like to give the later option a try next year.

If you're going to play a 3-4, the DL has to be bigger and more able to disrupt the running game. Your LB's need to be bigger and quicker.

Recruiting is the biggest obstacle but jesus, can't we coach up some of these guys, snyder does, many coaches do.

It's one thing to lose but to get in there and compete. Cu gets their asses handed to them game after game.

Problem is, recruits don't care about the mountains and early playing time for a team that's had 6 straight losing seasons and getting blown out each week isn't attracting the recruits with size and speed.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I agree some of it is coaching and bad personel moves. I still don't understand why they benched Conrad Obi, Obi had about 2 tackles for loss today, and looked better than Pericak and Cunningham against the run. Logan Gray returning kicks. Josh Ford came in for one play and had the longest return of the day, the next play Logan gray was back in. I guess Embo is loyal to his seniors.

What is the purpose of this thread?!?

Yeah, let's hope the media starts criticizing Embree for bad coaching. That will really help recruiting. Then we'll continue playing with terribly sub par talent and losing games, but it doesn't matter because, obviously, he is an awful coach. Growing pains, bad talent, ball bouncing the wrong way, coaching for his first season... It all adds up, you're right he needs to take a hit.

Youre a ****ing idiot

Kiszla has already started taking shots at Embree a few weeks ago.
