As expected after yesterday's results LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas are 1-2-3 in the AP Poll. This is only the 2nd time in history that 3 teams from the same conference are ranked 1-2-3 in the poll, the first time was in 1971 when Nebraska, OU, and CU finished 1-2-3 in the final regular season AP poll.

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Stanford
5. Okie State
6. Va Tech
7. Boise State
8. Houston
9. Oregon
10. Southern Cal

There's a couple of major differences in the coaches poll, one being they have VT ranked at #4. They also have Houston properly ranked ahead of Boise.

:rofl::rofl:

I just looked at their schedule and didn't realize how weak it is. That makes Stanford's schedule look tough.

They are legitimately the most overrated team in the country. I understand WHY they're there with only one loss, but they would get demolished by 2 loss teams like Michigan State, Wisconsin, Oregon, USC etc. etc. Teams that beat Duke 14-10 aren't the 4th ranked team in the nation. When your second best win is Wake Forest, I'm not buying. I'm pretty confident UVA will take care of them next weekend at home

I'd probably call UNC their 2nd best win but we're splitting hairs. I agree that they'd lose to all those 2-loss teams you listed above.

Congrats on your Cavs being ranked for the first time in almost 4 years!

I can only dream the Buffs take half the step forward next year that the Hoos did this season (London's second year). From 4-8 (1-7) with only two FBS wins last year to this. Not to mention the progress they've made since the first month of this season. It's been an entirely different team since they stopped doing the 2QB system after the NCSU loss.

Oregon ahead of SC?

My dad's last season was 70 right before the 71 season.

BCS Standings:

2. Alabama

4. Oklahoma State
5. Va Tech
6. Stanford
7. Boise
8. Houston
9. OU
10. Oregon

Playing a big part in the computer polls is the strength of the conferences. You can see how the computers favor the Big 12 teams and don't have much love for teams from the weaker ACC and Pac-12 conferences. The computer polls have 3 Big 12 teams in the top 6 while VT is ranked 7th, Stanford 9th, and Oregon is 11th.

I have never heard an ESPN announcer tear a team apart like Herbstreit just did VT. His sentiment about how overrated they are is even stronger than mine
