Did we just cost UCLA a bowl game?

They're 6-5 and playing USC.

Then, they'll head to the Pac-12 championship game against Oregon or Stanford.

6-7 means no bowl game, right?

Depends on how many other schools get bids. I think they can petition. Being 6-7 doesn't eliminate them.

Gosh, I hope that wouldn't cost Skippy his job. That would be so.... unfortunate.... :smile2:

Correct. UCLA will now have to petition NCAA for the right to play in a bowl. Not likely to be granted.

I said it in another forum, but we are doing wonders for slick ricks career. Keeping him another year is a score for us.

All depends how many 6-6 teams are out there even if they petition from what I understand

Regardless of our hatred of UCLA or the weasel, we want as many Pac schools to go bowling to bring more revenue to the conference. With U$C not able to get into a bowl it helps us more if UCLA wins and makes a bowl game.

I would love UCLA to go to a bowl game. Pretty much guarantees slick rick keeps his job for what, two more years!

That starts next year. They wouldn't give us a split this year except for the championship game money that was added. UCLA can suck it.

As long as Slick stays around who gives a ****.

Also, USC is the South champion after they win this game. UCLA will only be the South's representative.

You mean just like how GB "won" the north, went bowling and kept his job in 2005?

Congrats guys on your win today. It was a huge monkey to get off your back, and you were huge underdogs.

I wish UCLA was playing in the P12 championship game with a better team and coach, but as we saw today you never know what will happen.

Maybe the Oregon (or Stanford) team bus will be hijacked by Occupy Wall Street "campers" and won't show up in time for the game. You never know, things happen...

If it weren't for the Slick Rick factor, I'd definitely be cheering for the South and Embree's son. But you hired the Weasel. **** UCLA.

Would enjoy seeing them petition for a bowl invite and get it, then lose and finish 6-8. Hilarity.

Yeah well I guess everyone makes mistakes...

The sooner you correct that one the better, for UCLA. The fans here learned how damaging just one extra year can be with the wrong coach.

I'll echo Nik's sentiments and say, if it wasn't for The Weasel, I'd be rooting for UCLA. Oh, who are we kidding, I hate USC far more than I hate Slick Rick, and it's not even that close. Go Bruins.
