Is Bama going to back into the NC game under the Nebraska rule?

Math - how does it work?

Should not be allowed. If you're not even the best team in your own conference, how can you be the best in the country?

Name me a team that's better.

This is totally different than the Nebraska situation, where it could be argued that there were 3-4 teams more deserving of a shot at the MNC. There isn't a single other team in the country, IMO, that's anywhere close to being as good as Alabama (other than LSU, of course).

The two situations are only similar in that Alabama won't be the conference champion. Totally different in every other way.

I think they will also. Standford, Okie State, Boise State, and maybe even Oregon had a chance to kick them out a few weeks ago, but couldn't.

I don't typically support the BCS, but if voters take them out because they "want to see a different game" instead of the top two schools, that would be a crime.

In a perfect world, Id agree with you. This system couldnt be farther from perfect. I think this is already a done deal regardless of the weekend games, thats just mho tho.

LSU, who happens to be in their conference.

I would like to see Okie Light or Stanford play LSU. Bama already had their shot and blew it.

So, Bama had their shot against LSU, the one team you admit is better than they are, but OSU didn't blow it by getting beat by IOWA STATE. and Stanford didn't blow it by losing at home to Oregon by something like 20 points?

Really? Is that really the argument you're making?

You sound like a ****ing Boise State fan. UA would have won any other conference out there and would be a favorite against any conference champion even on the road. Your *ebraska rule (I didn't think you guys wrote that word) should be renamed 'the rest of you suck rule'. The stupid 'fairness' complaints only show that D1 football needs a playoff.

I'd make the argument that Okie loss occurred in a game that probably should have been postponed, and that they'd otherwise be undefeated. Okie State should be #2.

Bama would not be in this position if all those had not choked on their applesauce.

Don't want to see another LSU-'Bama game. It was boring. 'Bama had the game at home and couldn't get it done. Next.

Yes. If you're not the best team in your own conference, you should not get to play in the NC game. Period, end of story. There should be no exceptions or do-overs. LSU and Bama played and Bama showed they were not up to the task that day.

OSU played the day they found out the women's hoops coach died. Not saying that's the reason, but it certainly may have been a factor especially after losing the men's hoops players and coaches a couple years ago.

Win your conference and then you won't have to make bull**** arguments about backing into the NC game.

They already played the MNC game in Tuscaloosa.

No need to play for it again at the Sugar Bowl. Sometimes the two best teams don't play for the title in the title game, but play before it. Happens a lot of times in sports, especially with a playoff system (like the cfb season is). I hate it, but until we get a real playoff someone else gets a shot to beat LSU. They'll most likely lose and the title game might be boring as ****, but oh well.

Bama isn't backing in to anything. Outside of a ridiculous "didn't win their conference" bitchfest they are still at minimum the #2 team in the country. They are ranked #2 in every poll including the BCS by a fairly wide margin. I don't like Bama, but they would hammer any of the wannabe teams moaning about how unfair it is.

I don't care about Okie lite's circumstances; they lost to a **** team. Bama lost to the #1 ranked team by less than a touchdown.

We could even have 2 SEC teams in the title game .... with neither being the SEC Champion.

I don't think you should be allowed in the national championship game if your kicker sucks. I don't want to see another game decided by ****** special teams.

The team Id like to see play LSU or Bama unfortunately cant. I dont think they would beat them but I have no doubt they could play with either.

I was a no-rematch guy before and after the game. All the other teams have choked. If Stanford, OSU, or Oregon take care of business they would be in the title game and I would not bitch about it. If you want to play for the MNC you don't lose to ****ing Iowa State. If you are in a second rate conference you don't lose to a team at home by 23 points that was destroyed by the #1 team in the nation. They would have given the shot it to anybody over Bama if they deserved a chance. If you put anybody but Bama in there you are giving the title to LSU.

If Okie Light takes care of business this Saturday, they are also a 1 loss team, but will have won their conference. They deserve to go.

B12 and P12 are not second rate conferences you inbred S-EEEEEE-C hick.

So you were a no-rematch guy until you saw an opportunity to get a rematch and changed your mind? Way to stick to principles there. :rofl2:

Bama couldn't get it done at home. What makes you think they will fare better at a neutral site? Might as well give another team a shot.
