latest Sandusky accuser...

From ESPN, this just makes me very angry:
Another accuser came forward Tuesday and filed a complaint with authorities. The now 19-year-old said he also met Sandusky through The Second Mile, a charity Sandusky founded in 1977 to help at-risk children, lawyer Charles Schmidt said.

Schmidt said the client, whom he did not identify, went to his law firm about three weeks ago, after Sandusky was charged with sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year period.
"He suffered one incident of abuse, to use the legal term -- involuntary deviate sexual intercourse -- allegedly at the hands of Mr. Sandusky," Schmidt said. "That occurred on the Penn State campus, we believe in the area of the football facilities."
Schmidt told the AP that his client was 12 years old, dealing with the death of his mother and suffering emotional issues at the time of the campus incident. The lawyer said the two met through The Second Mile and his client claims Sandusky gave him liquor while in the office on campus. The grand jury report did not allege any instances of Sandusky giving boys alcohol

It's going to just keep getting worst. This monster could have been stopped. Paterno is a life long hero of mine (I'm not a Nittany Lions fan though). That's done. He knew something which is why Sandusky retired so young. This is sick and I just needed to vent.

Would publicly doing a full castration and letting him bleed out fall under the "cruel and unusual" clause?

I'm willing to step up with the rusty pruning shears and do my civic duty as the snip man if called upon.

I don't think Sandusky believes he has done anything wrong. I know Paterno doesn't believe HE did anything wrong. It's all one big denial-fest going on in Happy Valley.

How could Sandusky's wife not have suspected things were wrong? Surely there must have been clues in kids' body language before and after trips to the basement. I feel sick and wish I hadn't read that.

Putting him the general prison population would be cruel and unusual but not for the crime IMHO

She knew...for whatever reason, the sake of her kids, money, security or just plain old denial of a truth too montrous to confront, she looked the other way and joined the long list of enablers who allowed innocent young children to be victimized by this monster. IMO, the enablers bear very nearly as much culpability as this Sandusky pervert. The guy should be tried, and when convicted, walked out of the back of the jailhouse and promptly disposed of...that would serve the ends of justice IMO.

As far I am concerned she's an accomplice. Apparently one kid was screaming for help from the basement and she was home at the time.

Disagree, that would be too quick an end - the guy needs to suffer....

I hope Joe Pa and the rest of the bastards at Penn St are eventually forced to confront these victims in person.

Where's the outrage for all the kids abused in the so called church?

Dwarfs what happened at Happy Valley

There has been plenty of outrage there to, this is just the latest and there for most heavily discussed.

I would be surprised if this guy lasts more then a year or two in jail. He is a sick **** and there is nothing Penn State or anyone involved can do to make themselves look better. If they had chosen to do the right thing and come out about this years ago there might have been many children who were spared this awful molestation. Instead they said winning and football is more important so they covered it up. Sad to see anything of this magnitude happen and I have no idea how people can say with a straight face that they are still Penn State supporters. I know if something like this happened at the University of Oregon no matter how much I loved my Ducks I would find a new team to support.

Why the **** did I read that?

**** them all in that town. This kid was getting ass-raped in 2004. Obviously the university knew about it, his goddam wife knew about it, other parents knew about it, police knew about it, and IIRC, some high schools knew about it.

Yet they all kept letting him drag kids down into the basement to abuse and torture them.

**** them all.

^^This^^

As much as I am loyal to CU if I found out that they willingly put winning ahead of the safety of kids and allowed something like this to happen I would be out and gone as a fan and supporter until every single person involved in not only the cover up but in the culture that allowed the cover up to happen was gone.

As fans we can look the other way at times at a lot of things that don't exactly fit our values, a recruiting issue, a player who others consider dirty who we choose to call agressive, etc. When the question comes to kids lives that is past the point that we can overlook.

Yup. A lot of the time, statements like that can come off sounding like hyberbole, but I feel pretty comfortable saying it in this case. I know when the allegations in our "scandal" were first coming out, it really made me start to question my loyalty to the football program. Granted, I let the facts come out, and was able to see that story for what it really was, but the experience was enough for me to know that there is a line that, once crossed, I would not return from.

No news here...

Isn't it amazing how often when you connect success, money, and power over some period of time, you get indifference to corruption and crime from an institutional setting?

Have not read any of this thread (so maybe someone else said it), but beyond the POS Sandusky...his ****ing wife also needs to get hauled off into prison....

Thank you all for the comments so I didn't have to read this. I applaud these individuals for having the strength to come forward and face these demons.

Think he made bail and is on house arrest. I dont think he'll off himself honestly, he acts like he did nothing wrong. Sick mutha****er.

House arrest is a step in the right direction.

As much as it sucks, I'd rather he be alive and all of this **** come out now in the national spotlight. If he kills himself, the story may dwindle out and die. I want all these ****ers exposed and publicly humiliated and crucified.

It was $250K, I'm sure one of his cronies posted it, as I said before, he needs to suffer.

Not sure on this but wasnt it a 250K cash only bond? Thats quite a chunk of change. If he did this to my kid, Id have a hard time not killing that guy. I know it's the wrong thing to do but it would be hard not to.

This is close to the worst crime a human could possibly commit. I agree with nik's punishment, yet it doesn't feel like enough. Make scrambles eggs before snipping them off, and give him death with a million cuts. That would be a little better.

This is the **** that happens in horrible movies and you want to pretend it was only fiction.

Crimes like this should trigger an automatic life sentence. I was reading somewhere that ~70% of these child predators ultimately end up back in jail. That's only the ones that get caught too. Sandusky had already been caught once a decade ago, but there were no charges. He must have known that the odds of geting caught were high, but he couldn't control himslef.
