Jimmy Smith

Normally I wouldn't mind a player repping his high school, but considering the state of CU's football program, would be nice to get any publicity we can at this stage. Hopefully he'll mention CU in future games. Btw, how the hell did Vincent Jackson end up at Northern Colorado? Was he a late bloomer that CU didn't offer to?

Vince Jackson was a tall, skinny kid coming out of HS, probably about 6'1" 165lbs. He play on a team that didn't really have an effective QB so they ran the ball virtually all the time. The team wasn't good enough to get a lot of notice, especially for a WR who didn't play a lot before his senior year and then mostly was a blocker.

So we're rooting against the kid now because he gave a shot out to his high school on the player introductions?

I doubt it's quite as simple as Jimmy simply choosing to give a "shout-out" to his high school, but hopefully so..
