Seems like the staff wants to take at least one tall WR this cycle, judging by the early offers to Williams and Connor Crane.

Watch the video. Williams has good ball skills and really uses his size to his advantage.

Definitely on the body control and ball skills.

What really impresses me about him for a junior in high school is the route running awareness. This isn't just a superior athlete running past high school competition (although you see that at times). He does an amazing job of setting up the guys trying to cover him and then breaking wide open. A big target who can do that and also win jump balls when he's not really open is a QB's best friend. If I'm Burnette or Hirschman or Dorman, I'm telling the CU coaches to get me this guy.

No doubt. There are several end zone routes that are textbook in that highlight reel.

FYI, 2010 4* QB Brett Hundley was the starting QB for Chandler in 2010.

QB has a live arm, UCLA got a gamer. Williams looks pretty legit as well, excellent spatial awareness.

Seems pretty open at this juncture. The school to keep an eye is Oregon, his cousin plays there.

ESPN and 247 have added Williams to their databases. 247 really likes him - gave him a 4* rating.

He is going to take his time with the process and is targeting a decision after official visits.

I don't know why, but everytime i watch the video on him. I like him even more. A must get for the CU program.

“I’m going there (Jan. 20),” Williams said. “What can you say about Oklahoma State? They throw the ball 60 times a game, a receivers dream. My other schools are Arkansas, Oregon, Colorado and San Diego State. All but Oregon have offered, but they’re recruiting me.

I know that the coaches have cooled on most/all the rest of the receivers in this class (we stopped recruiting Chris Harper and he will not be visiting), but I would like to see us continue to recruit Williams.

Didn't see that coming. Getting this kid would be awesome. We need receivers with his size, but getting a big time player out of Chandler would be freaking sweet too.

If Oregon doesn't offer we might have a good chance. Would be a big pick up. I'm hoping for either him or Alex Jackson at WR, though I haven't heard much of anything about Jackson lately. He looks extremely fast in his highlights.

Are our prospects with this kid looking up now that we signed a teammate of his (Jagne)?
He's visiting Arkansas this weekend and has a OV set up for Okie State on 1/20 but I'll ask Adam if he's heard anything.

We need to make a late push with Williams. Hopefully having Jagne committed will help us get a visit. Williams is still uncommitted and has 2 OVs left to schedule for January.

Yep, he is a guy cu needs badly, big athletic wr. Need to get him in here. With 2 OV's left, no reason why this staff can't get him to come to boulder to check things out.

Man, bringing in Javon + the Texas Trio would be one hell of a WR haul. Obviously this is a guy you take regardless of whether the WR spots are "full" or not. This could be the start of a solid pipeline into Chandler. With ASU likely being a disaster for the next few years with a coach who hasn't set foot in the state of Arizona, we've got to like our chances at grabbing talent out of the Phoenix area. Hopefully Kisima can help get Javon on board -- Javon would get major playing time from day 1, and quite possibly start
