Thomas granted release from CSU

I, for one, am said to see "Check Down" Pete leave. It was fun to watch him play, and place bets on the number of seconds it would take him to adjust and throw to his check down receiver.

So I guess Gilbert Gottfried or whatever his name is gets the job next year by default...

**** it. I hope he does well in the ACC. Dude took 71 sacks in 2 years; that would be enough to make me want to put Ft. Fun about 1900 miles in my rear view mirror. Hope he bounces back, and McElwain struggles to keep sacks under 40 per year.

Sees an opening with Glennon being gone after next year, but I doubt he ever starts. Don't follow the 'Pack too closely, but Tyler Brosius, who will be a RS JR in 2013, was a pretty good prospect out of HS and is the likely heir-apparent. They're also bringing in 4* QB James Summers in this current class, along with a 3* guy. There are already a few other 3* and walk-on QB's on the roster as well, and most of them are underclassmen. If he can't pass more than 5 yards down the field on UNLV, then it isn't going to happen against FSU. For all of the ACC's faults, those defenses have the athleticism you'd expect from recruiting bases in FL, GA and VA.
