This kid must be a crazy stud. To have that many offers already is incredible. I hope he ends up joining his former teammates out here.

He's a sophmore. Can you imagine how many pages this thread will be by this time in 2014?

H.D. Woodson DB Payne receiving BCS offers

By James Wagner

H.D. Woodson has one of the area’s most talented defensive backfields with the likes of seniors Kenny Crawley, a Tennessee recruit, and John Walker, who holds BCS offers. But there’s a budding prospect playing alongside them.

Though only a sophomore, H.D. Woodson receiver-defensive back D’Andre Payne is already receiving offers from Football Bowl Subdivision schools, and more interest from others

The reason, quite simply, is speed.

Payne, who is 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.58 as a freshman and saw the playing field for the Warriors, scoring at least two touchdowns. “He's only going to get bigger, faster and stronger,” said H.D. Woodson assistant coach Wayne Johnson, who coordinates the team’s college recruiting.

Nation's fastest kid? Gold medals proves it

NEWPORT-Asafa Powell of Jamaica holds the coveted 100-
meter world record with a time of 9.97 seconds. But look
out Asafa! There's a kid on your heels, just 3.47 seconds
behind you. And, he's coming on.

D'Andre Payne is just 11 years old, 14 years Powell's
junior. And, his 100-meter times keep shrinking with
every meet.

Payne plans to start getting to know schools better this summer with visits.

"I'm actually scheduled to go to Oregon on June 8th or 9th," he said. "That'll probably start my visits to schools. I haven't made a schedule, but I plan on going to Ohio State, Maryland, Penn State, all the way out to Colorado and I want to go to Illinois to see what they are about."

Transferring from UT

DC had a huge class of DBs that year with Payne, the kids we got, and a number that went elsewhere including if I remember right a number of big name schools. Seems like out of the whole bunch there hasn't been much success. We got a good one in KC but who else has impressed?
