Taking a quick break from signing day, a source has confirmed to Buffzone that women's lacrosse will be the next sport added to the University of Colorado. We had guessed as much back in January when Mike Bohn first announced that the school would be adding a women's team, but this is the first confirmation that we have seen. Some interesting stuff in the story, so go over and check it...

What mens sport will be added, got to be equal.

Interesting that they added a sport that's not part of the Pac 12. The article did mention that the Pac 12 may sanction the sport soon, though. I would think they'd want some additional content for the Pac 12 network. Maybe we'll get it regardless.

I think it has more to do with even scholarship #'s

Yep. Football takes up such a large amount of resources and scholarships, there are typically more women's sports than men's. time to get my girls their first lax sticks.
