Facilities Upgrades!

OK, aside from the Buff logo facing the wrong direction, I think this looks great. It appears as though there will be an entrance to/from Franklin Field. In much the same way as the basketball facility is open to season ticket holders prior to the game, I would imagine this would be something that would be open to big dollar donors pre-game as well.

Love it. I just wish they'd add a little more in terms of seating, but I'll take it for now.

rep! where'd you find that?
Found on twitter from a CU broadcast major, My friends in the journalism say the kid is going to be a top notch reporter, this model is professional this isnt something that people just don in their free time, My guess is the kid went to the embo presser and saw this at dalward. We are alot farther than we thought

Beautiful!

It sure looks massive...I cannot wait to see the fans from the Big 12 plus the Nub fans do a double take.

Looks like they did in the north endzone to me.

There is additional seating in this photo - take a closer look at the 2nd level on the eastside.

I know. It's just not as much as I'd like. The story is that we'll have about 60K in seating. My preference would be 65K, but as I said, this is a good start. In order to get up to that 65K figure, they'd have to do some work on the West side, and that will be another major undertaking.

only about 1000 seats - all with a bad view. Need to tear down the fieldhouse ASAP and build a second deck worth sitting in, and to stop making it look like we play in a high school stadium on TV.

My thinking is that they will be demolishing or seriously altering Balch. At that point we will be adding a ton of seating on the west side.

Serious underestimate how quickly seats add up. Thats probably a 3,000 seat addition

I have never once thought Folsom looked like a high school stadium, not sure what you're smoking.

I don't even think it's worth adding seating over by that new practice facility. Have you ever sait in seats past the goalline, you can't see anything without binoculars. 2nd level is needed first.

But enough negative Nancy, it does look good. If we can convince some poor souls to buy those awful tickets than more power to the CU AD. You would have to pay me to watch a game from there.

"I have never once thought Folsom looked like a high school stadium, not sure what you're smoking."

One whole side of our stadium only has about 40 rows for the entire 120 yards of field, looks exactly like a high school stadium if you are facing west. (This will be fixed eventually, I just dont know how they can sell those tickets beyond the back of the endzone)

I think the press boxes on the west side are old and need updating, however I love the character and history of the west side, we are a very unique venue because of the west side. Not many schools still have their heritage evident in their stadiums like we do

The NE side always has seemed like a big, gaping hole, so this is very appropriate. Those seats won't be high dollar seats, though. Maybe they can put the visitors seats in the upper level.

the single deck on the west side looks like a high school stadium

That's a damn nice high school stadium.

I cannot wait for them to break ground on this. They are way past planning and way past design phase. Models like this (detailed) dont get built until you have a close to finished product

I can't tell from the renderings, but are they planning on extending the club level seats all the way around the NE side as well?
