***********************

Just saw he received an offer from Embree and staff. He's pretty raw from what I've seen of him but he has a gigantic frame 6'10" 280 lbs. He comes from Ralston Valley HS.

Scout, 9/19/11

Skipper, also a pitcher on the RalstonValley baseball team, combines the size and athletic ability that catches the eyes of recruiters.

Weighing 270 pounds on an extremely long frame, Skipper looks skinny on the football field, but his broad shoulders and long levers allow tons of room for growth and it is not difficult to project this young man in the 310 pound range in the near future.

Rivals, 1/15/12

Colorado became the first school to extend him a scholarship.

"They came to the school and watched me workout. Then the coach sent me an email (that they were offering."

Skipper was thrilled about the good news.

6'10 as a Junior? Might he get too tall?

Semi-related side note, how is the in state class looking next year?

Remember when my brother played baseball against him...yeah that was crazy seeing a kid that big in 7th grade.

Want though assuming Wood and Dillon can get it over his head.

Sat next to him and Steve marshall at the basketball game today, Steve Marshall ignored the official visitors and sat with him and his family. The last thing that was said... Directed at his mother (by Steve Marshall) he'll always have a family right here in boulder. Looked very encouraging!

fify

At least I hope I did. Please tell us it was Steve.

I was trying to figure out why on gods green earth Denver Johnson would be recruiting for us. That would be a disaster

The dude's like a praying mantis. DE's take 5 steps and his length is still on top of them before he takes his.

He needs to fill out of course, but you can see why the coaches want him. With the arm length he has, that buy's you a lot of time from defenders. Him and Nembot in the pipeline at LT would not be terrible.

Prototype Left Tackle. I'm pretty sure Ralston Valley will be coming to BHS this fall. I'm not above taking bribes to get on the field to get a closer look at this young man.

How about adjusting the chains so we can see him in some extra 3rd and short situations?

My son played baseball with his brother. Definitely a baseball family. His brother was also 6' 10 but didn't play football.

I like his athleticism, he looks like a very good prospect. Once Coach Blacken gets a hold of him and after 2-3 years of work in the weight room, he will dominate the College game, arguably the best OL prospect to come out of Colorado since Solder. He is a must get.

Wasn't Solder a two star TE out of HS?

Wait, I thought Arthur Flores was the best OL coming out of Colorado in recent years? And have you seen the Fox thread yet? Skipper's not even the best OL in his class.

Chris Fox is okay, but Skipper in my opinion is still growing, has the higher ceiling. Its is not about what you did in HS for me, it is about how the player will do in College and the NFL. After saying that wouldn't not mind taking both Skipper and Fox.
