Goodman has seen his recruitment take off along with his teammate Chris Hawkins over the last couple weeks. There is some talk that the two may end up playing college football together.

ESPN recently named Goodman and Hawkins two of the top ten Inland Empire recruits for 2013.

Colorado has offered Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) safety Tahaan Goodman...

ESPN-LA on Feb 3:

Chris Hawkins, DB, Rancho Cucamonga – A lot of eyes will be on the Cougars secondary next season. Hawkins, a shutdown cornerback, had just two interceptions last season but turned enough heads to earn first-team All-Inland Division honors. Scouts have taken notice, as he has received offers this week alone from UCLA and Boise State. Northwestern and Washington have also come to the table with early offers.

Tahaan Goodman, DB, Rancho Cucamonga – Goodman, a 6-2, 190-pound safety, was also offered by the Bruins and Boise State this week, with San Diego Sate also joing his early list. Look for Goodman and Hawkins to possiblyend up as a package deal somewhere in the Pac-12.

I'd love to sign both Goodman and Hawkins. CU will do very well if we can continue to build our Inland Empire pipeline.

Difference maker. Possibly getting ahead of myself, but with that kind of size, he could put on 30 lbs and be one maniac of a linebacker.

5 It's 357 days away, but the Rancho Cucamonga High School football team is getting an early jump on the next national signing day. Junior defensive backs Chris Hawkins and Tahaan Goodman already have 16 scholarship offers between them, according to Cougars head coach Nick Baiz.

Hawkins, an all-CIF cornerback last season, has offers from Nebraska, Stanford, UCLA, Boise State, Cal, San Diego State, Northwestern, Washington and Washington State. Goodman, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety, has offers from Nebraska, Boise State, South Florida, UCLA, Cal, San Diego State and Washington State.

From Rivals west coast analyst Adam Gorney:

I could see Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) safety Tahaan Goodman making a decent move up the rankings. I saw him at a recent B2G Sports workout and he was definitely impressive flying all over the field and making plays. I also saw him perform a 360-dunk prior to the workout and there's no question about his athleticism. Take a look at his tape. Goodman is a hard-hitting, fierce safety who covers a lot of ground. The offers are starting to pile up, too.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) safety Tahaan Goodman was offered today by USC...

Think this puts the Trojans in front for both Goodman and Chris Hawkins.

Tahaan Goodman- S- Rancho Cucamonga (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.)
Nation's No. 39 overall player

Did I mention the defensive back pool was deep out West? And keeping with that theme, once again USC will be tough to beat for Goodman. His close friend and teammate Chris Hawkins is already a Trojan commit and is no doubt working on Goodman. LSU, Arizona State and UCLA are lurking in the shadows. Unless Goodman waits to long and misses an open spot, he appears a hard lean to the Trojans.
