Lots more in his twitter feed. Interesting Re: Allen and Kyle Washington.

Said Grossnickle will get a look on kickoffs.

Will we ever get any production out of him, or was he a complete and total whiff? Seems like he ought to be able to develop into at least an average punt or kickoff guy if that's the only reason he's getting his entire education paid for.

Embree said place-kicker Will Oliver had shoulder surgery. Should be fine for spring. Grossnickle will get a look as kickoff man #CUBuffs
 hope Oliver fixes whatever the hell is wrong with him.

Allen to DE...interesting. Not a bad move for him or the team IMO. CU is thin at DE and Allen is a big kid and pretty athletic, so maybe he can earn some PT on the defensive side of the ball. With no LB recruits this cycle I expected one or two moves to LB. Looks like Clark and Washington are the candidates. Embo and staff look to be putting as much speed on the field as possible, especially on D. I can't wait for FB season...it's gonna be a long six months.

Not exactly a revelation, but the 2010 class is turning into a gaping hole.

Surprised Harlos is not on the list moving to LB with his speed and height he could be a beast there.

Unless I've missed some, only Vince Ewing and Burnette won't be returning? But since they're both going to be seniors that won't help us to open up any more scholarships for the next recruiting cycle.

I believe we needed 1 person to leave in order to get everyone in the current recruiting class in. This would mean there won't be any forced grey shirts from the incoming freshmen.

Ya Washington looked a tad slow at S... so not terribly surprised he is getting a look at LB. He will be really undersized tho. Also, good news to see Juda Parker is stepping up at DL. We're gonna need him this year

Not a huge surprise, but I am glad he didn't milk his scholarship for his senior year. Good luck to him.

He´s graduating in May, so there isn´t much point in sticking around afterwards if he knows he has no shot whatsoever.

burnette leaving opens up a scholly for a late transfer/signee. interesting.

Ahh, good point, thanks. Hadn't thought about that aspect..

Careful, you might get a nasty PM.

I think Washington has the speed to play safety, he just looked slow at times because he took poor angles. I could see him thriving as a LB/S hybrid though. Plus it means we likely see Polk and Orms at safety, which is good news.

Agree on Parker. If he and CUD can take the next step, DL becomes much less of a question mark.

We will be able to put a SR walk-on on schollie for a reward and it won't impact us for next year.

You are correct, sir.

There will be more attrition, though. There always is.

I got the opposite feeling. When i saw Washington play around mid-season in 2011, he looked like he was shot out of a cannon, probably our fastest player in the secondary. What I got more than anything is that he didn't really have great coverage instincts and his body is probably more suited to bulk up and play LB.

Why is Castor not transfering?
