Spring Football - Day 1 highlights

that one shot with the team in the foreground and the flatirons in the background is awesome. Looked like a beautiful day in Boulder.

Some of my friends who went to UT came in town last night and we were talking football. They are still very upset about losing Wood, they all thought he was the best QB but wasn't given a chance to prove it in camps his first year. I'm so happy we have him.

Our video guys have gotten so much better the past year or so

I can never watch anything on buffstv without it buffering every 3 seconds. But anyways, Alex Lewis looks much bigger

P-Rich has definitely hit the weights

Huh? The guy still looks small for his frame. He has hit the weights for sure but now he needs to hit the training table and eat 4-5k calories a day to bulk up 15.

No he has really hit the weights.

Hitting the weights to get strong and eating to bulk aren't the same thing. It's why you are still a 150lb scrub with a 120lb squat.
Right. If you can't tell he's bulked up then I'm not sure what to tell you because he has, along with the rest of the team. I have yet to see a player who has not gotten much bigger over the offseason.

120 ib squat, thats horrible, is that for real? Even my 120 ib 14 year old brother can squat more than 120 ibs.

According to the last spring depth chart he was still 170. He has leaned up, but hasn't bulked up to what he needs to get to to go over the middle. His legs are still a bit tiny.

Really not sure where he is getting those numbers.

I don't buy one bit that he was 170 last year. No way.

I think 170 to 175 is a good weight for P-Rich. This allows him to keep all his speed and keep his hops. We arent playing in the NFL. He doesnt need to be 200 lbs. As long as he has the speed to burn college DB's i think he will be ok.

At 180lb he would help us in the run game though. We need our WRs to help with their downfield blocking and that's an area PRich needs to improve on. I'd love for him to keep his speed at 200lbs, but that probably isn't going to happen. But he does does take a lot of passes over the middle and that's also an area where more weight would help him since he seems to get blasted from time to time.

Got to remember that he spent a lot of time healing his knee. He still has all spring and summer to put on 5 more pounds but there is no doubt when you see him in person you can tell he has gotten much bulkier.

With my attention on CU basketball, I completely forgot about spring football starting recently. Very refreshing for a change but I hope CU finds its QB going into the summer.
