I just called CU ticket office to attempt to purchase or put a deposit on season tickets for next season. They told me they had nothing set up to do that right now. Call back in June and I could probably be put on a list then. Wow! You would think they would be taking deposits as fast as they could process a credit card transaction. Interest is high right now, don't give me time to change my mind by June???

I did the same thing. I asked if they could at least put me on a list to call once they come available and they said no. Weird.

Thats crazy the ticket office is usually so good at getting things together and taking early deposits. I am shocked.

Boyle was very upset last year that season tickets didn't go on sale right after the NIT run. He at least wanted people to be able to put deposits down before Alec declared for the draft. It was late summer before they made it happen and then everything was late. I didn't get my tickets until a week or two before the season started and they weren't able to get my parking pass to me until after the first game.... and I was a renewal.

they did this last year... call back in june and you still wont hear ****... we didnt hear from them til early august and they kept moving the date around

The ticket office operations is still a giant clusterfuk. It's like they hired a bunch of chimps to run the place.

quick, everyone email mike bohn and let him know how unhappy we are with him!

unfortunately, this is one of those stupid things that should be reallllly easy to do but they seem incapable of fixing.

Hey man. Chimps are smart!

I can understand the reasons for not wanting to take your money right now, but to not take names on a list is simply inexcusable...

Lists are trouble - first you have to take down information to make the list... then you have to find a place to put the list where you won't forget about it... then you have to not forget that you already have a list when people start calling in the summer.... then there is summer, when students get new jobs and generally people do things that make them forget about lists and places where lists are kept....finally you have to consult with the list at a later date - and it would probably mean more work, which face it none of us at AllBuffs are that big of fans of in the first place. So really, the ticket office staff are just being smart and allowing themselves more time to fill out brackets or catch up on GIAs love life.

Not to mention those of us who have tickets need time to upgrade!

In hindsight, I wonder how many calls like that they are getting/have been getting - would it even be enough to justify a list?

Just do it online. Adding a form to cubuffs.com for new 2012-13 MBB season ticket reservation deposits would be easy and the data would be databased forever.

In the world of technology, this is exactly what should be happening. The CU ticket office is totally inept and has been for years now.

So obvious...good call Nik - that would also make it very easy for them to do an e-mail blast to customers whenever they are ready to take deposits...

An AD employee saw this thread on twitter and promised me to look at this and get back to me tomorrow.

The AD is getting better in its marketing, but it still has a long way to go

If I remember right, I wasn't allowed to upgrade my basketball tickets last year until Octoberish. And they would not let me call in to do it until they had contacted me first.

They forgot to call me after I placed my deposit. Luckily, the CU Buffs basketball twitter feed caught me bitching about it and got them to call me.

I never got a parking pass. Season ticket holder for 5 or 6 years now in Middle Center Court.

Looks like I am coming in at the right time. I am going to be a freshman next year and I am so pumped up for our basketball team. I have had season tickets to basketball and football since I can rememeber. The growth of the fan base of the basketball team is unbelievable. I cannot wait to stand shoulder to shoulder with the students!

Quick question about season tickets for next year: If I had them this year, do I still need to put a deposit down per the front page of the cubuffs.com right now? How does this work?
