Text 0COLORADO to 2653

Sucks that you have to pay for it. Nice find UBL!

This seems like a huge scam/information grab. I already get spam text messages. Has anybody actually done it?

I really hope I'm wrong.

I did it and I'm all set up on my computer and phone to watch the games for free. Now I won't miss any games on the bus to ABQ. I don't think Coke is in the scamming business.

Mad rep. Thanks dude. Hopefully this sort of thing will become the norm. Love not having to pay for cable.

As long as CBS is paying billions for the right to televise the event, I wouldn't count on being able to watch it commercial free for free any time soon...

I don't think mind the commercials. It's the fact that i have to oay the cable companies to watch sporting events. And not just basic cable, but some bs sports package on top of basic.

Having to pay fifty bucks a month to watch things like presidential debates, mnf, and the ncaa tourney pisses me off. It seems like that stuff should be able to be streamed over the internet.

But somebody has to pay to broadcast all those things. MNF and the Tourney have HUGE rights fees associated with them. They're going to cable because ad revenues alone don't pay for them anymore. Presidential debates even have production costs. I guess they could be streamed by news networks as some kind of public service, since they're usually commercial free anyway. The broadcasters can't just give away their content. Newspapers tried that, and it isn't ending terribly well for them.

To receive a promo code from Coke Zero for free access to all NCAA tournament games from your phone and your computer.

Its 3.99 otherwise this year.

Thanks ... but I'm about to reveal both my age and the age of my phone (just let it be said, it's not a smart phone, and it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard).

So it's hard for me to text, and thus I never do. So what PRECISELY do I enter, i.e., do I include the "to" ... or just 0COLORADO 2653 ... and do I need to include the space(s) and if so HOW THE HELL DO I DO THAT ON WHAT AMOUNTS TO AN OLD STYLE PHONE KEYBOARD? :bang:

And then how do I get it sent to my laptop and not my phone?

Any genuine help (snarky or not) will be appreciated.

The # key should switch the input to letters.

Thanks ... never knew that ... the damn manual that came with my phone was almost as big as the Bible.

But what about my other questions?

And it's the goddam TRUTH!!!

Now .... can you answer the fookin' questions? (with apologies to the Irish guy in Braveheart).

EDIT: Nevermind ... apparently they're out of codes ... "they went like hotcakes."

Here's genuine help: buy a new phone. Sorry, but I couldn't resist, and you said snarky was ok. This reminds me of when I first showed my mom how to text. In all seriousness, it's cool that you're giving it a try.

Two reasons I don't ...

1) don't want to commit to another two year deal with Verizon which will no doubt trigger an increase in my payment plan (am now on the cheapest one available and I never exceed my phone minutes).

2) I only use my phone for talking and occasionally taking pics ... I use my laptop for everything else (news, sports, pron, etc.)

As long as you've got the pron covered.

Your "to" will just to be the number 2653.

To enter the text in the message, you press the button that has the letter on it repeatedly until the character you want shows up. So, to get C, you press "2" three times until it shows up.

edit: Oh, you might have predictive text. You'd be on your own with that ****, you'll have to figure out how to turn it off.
Now, your phone might be different, so keep trying!
