USA Today's take on the PAC 12

At least the author did his research and we got a somewhat positive (almost based on pity)
mention at the end. No doubt that the league will be back.

The conference couldn't be down at a better time for us. Look at our crowd and support. Look what this will do for recruiting and exposure.

We can't have it both ways. This is good for CU--this year--and the conference will be back soon.

I agree that the conference will be much better very soon. With the exceptions of Oregon and Cal, I think you can make a pretty good argument that every team in the conference will improve next year. And with the incoming talent, there are a few teams that should be legit top-25 teams. Hopefully we timed this just right to rise to the top when the conference rebounds!

The OOC games next season of the PAC:12 is going to be interesting, we really need to pick up the level of play. I think we have a shot of 4 to 5 tourney bids next season.

Tough article, but fair. It helps put AZ Coach Miller's compliments of CU in the right light, too. The conference needed the positivity and excitement that we brought this year. Otherwise, it was a lot of frustration and almost like the Pac was in an emotional funk. Hopefully we were a shot in the arm during a down time and it's going to help rally fan bases, administrations and programs to return the Pac to the top of college hoops.

the best thing that can possibly happen for the PAC is CU and Cal both making the sweet 16.

I'm not remotely worried about the conference going forward. Sometimes it just so happens that the stars align and everybody (Colorado at least exceeded expectations) sucks. I agree that this could not have come at a better time for Colorado to take advantage.

Couldn't agree more. And the really fun thing about it is that it's entirely possible. The road is difficult but doable.

And that's exactly what the team did -- it was there for the taking, and they took it. I like the mental toughness lesson they learned in the PAC tourney; this time of year, it's survive and advance. That's what the team did in LA.
