So what channel is the game on?

CUBuffs.com has Channel 246 for DirecTV and 204 for Dish. Not sure HD channels on those.

246 is the HD channel for DirecTV. I'm assuming most have it set up not to give you the non-HD version of the channel.

I think I saw an ad this week that DTV just started carrying TruTV in HD in time for the tourney coverage. Your receiver should make the switch automatically, I think...

Ahhh, thanks, That was one of the many channels that I had edited off my custom list of channels. Yeah it is in HD now.

Should have been on local CBS channel here in the Denver area.

I'm pretty sure it will be the regional game for Denver in that time slot. For the parts of the country not getting it locally it will be on Tru.

What! You mean you're not interested in watching; Lizard Lick Towing, Big Brian the Fortune Seller or Conspiracy Theory with Jessie Ventura?

I said it because they had Channel 71 listed for Comcast, which is not HD. 771 is the HD channel for Comcast TruTV.

I have about 50 channels that I keep on my guide. All that other crap I never even see and couldn't usually care less about it.

No.

Channel 4 News said tonight that it will be on Tru only ... no mention of Ch 4 carrying it.

Which is utter BULL****! :angry2:

They're broadcasting IU at NMSU instead.

They have to keep CBS open in case there's any news on Manning or Tebow so they can pre-empt all regular scheduled programming. You don't clutter things with events when there's potential for such big things in the world of sports possibly with a chance of happening.

If anyone is on campus they can turn to channel 45 and it will be broadcast. Mike Bohn send out a school wide email to ensure everyone knew to watch this game.

SUBJECT: March Madness is alive and well in Boulder!

MARCH MADNESS is alive and well in Boulder! Your Colorado Buffaloes return to
the Big Dance for the first time in nine years, taking on the UNLV Runnin'
Rebels at 7:57 p.m. Thursday (March 15); the game will be on televisions in the
Alferd Packer Grill as well as in The Connection games area, along with a few
restaurants in town. For a full list of local and national watch parties visit
http://www.cualum.org/2012/03/12/ncaa/.

The game will be carried on truTV, which is Ch. 71 (Comcast Boulder-Denver
Digital), Ch. 246 (DirecTV) and Ch. 204 (Dish TV). If you're staying on campus
and want to catch the game in your dorm or office, arrangements have been made
for the game to be aired on Campus Channel 45.

If/when the Buffs win, the time and television arrangements will be determined
late Thursday or Friday morning for Saturday's potential game against the
Baylor-South Dakota State winner.

If you're in Boulder tonight, I encourage you to go to the Coors Events
Center to support our women's basketball team as they take on the UNC Bears
in Round One of the Women's National Invitation Tournament. Playing on our
home court is a great advantage for our team, and we appreciate your support.

Congratulations to both of our basketball teams on their postseason appearances.

Go Buffs!!!

That makes no sense. In the past local markets have always gotten their teams games.... :wow:

Maybe they'll carry Young & Restless instead of the Lammies game in the morning....

I kid you not ... check the listings for Thursday @ 8pm.

Oh, I'm not doubting you. Just saying it makes no sense.

Obviously there isn't a lot of history of Colorado teams in the tourney to draw from, but I never remember them not being on the local CBS station before. Stupid, stupid programming....

In Channel 4's defense, I think the way the tournament is being broadcast now is that each game is pre-determined for one of the 4 channels (CBS, Tru, TBS, TNT) regardless of where you live. If you go to one of these sites below you can see how every game is set for a specific channel. This was probably changed last year when every game started being carried in every market without having to buy the March Madness package.

Comcast 45 and 745 (hd), at least in Greeley

If you have Comcast, hit 'menu', 'sports', basketball' and scroll to 7:30 pm

I'm just glad I get TruTV on Dish. If I didn't, I wouldn't get to see one play of this game.
