Jizla and rialto ... same guy?

Delete the link within the next 3 minutes or I neg rep you. Seriously people, stop posting Jizla columns here. ****.

Yep I'm Kizla, and naturally Kizla is an idiot to suggest Boyle is underpaid. It could not be more obvious.

Of course, many posters on AllBuffs tell me Boyle will stay at CU regardless of how underpaid he is. Sure he will.

No. Many posters on AllBuffs tell you that the middle of the most exciting time of the season and the most exciting time in years for the entire athletic department and long before any contract negotiation would be underway is a stupid time to **** in everyone's cereal and start bitching about Tad's contract and predicting he will leave because CU can't pay coaches what they are worth.

So yeah, you pulled a Jizla. You should go in the corner and cry.

Jizla puts up the bat signal to all interested parties to come pursue Boyle in the middle of CU's tournament run. Classy. Always doing the Buffs favors.

Jizla is correct. The buffs will have to step up and pay him because there are going to be teams coming to pick him up with huge stacks of cash. However in the middle of an NCAA tournament run immediately following a Pac-12 Championship is not the time to start telling the fan base that the coach is going to leave. Wait till the offseason.

We sound like insecure 20 year olds who always think their girlfriends are gonna cheat on them so they get angry when ever another guy looks at them. Women find that really unattractive

:rofl2: Hey, the column was a compliment. Why is it so hard for us to accept that? I agree with torerbuff. I believe Tad will be here a long time. That being said, I do believe CU will have to step up with a much more significant contract not only for Tad, but for his assistants. Hopefully, the same will ring true for football. I'm not sure how much jack we get for being in The Show, but Tad certainly is worth the investment. CU men's basketball is now, officially, A REVENUE SPORT.

I used to be in the "Boyle isn't going anywhere" camp.

Now I'm not so sure, especially in light of this tournament run. Especially if we win again tomorrow. The secret is out on Boyle now. It's entirely conceivable that some crazy/desperate AD at a basketball factory will step up and offer something like $3M/yr, which is 5X what he makes now. Honestly, who wouldn't turn that down?? I know part of Tad's mission is to make CU great, and I doubt he thinks that job is done, yet. But jiminy, everyone has their price, where money is concerned....

I'm not saying CU has to pay Boyle that much, but we at least need to get him into 7 figures, imo.

Boyle just earned a $200,000 bonus for getting into the dance and beating UNLV.

Give Tad the facilities and chance to work his magic and Bohn should be able to keep him around for awhile.

I saw an article yesterday that said if he does nothing more, he'll earn around $1MM this year. That's pretty solid.

I like the comment section. One poster mentions wasn't Kiszla the same guy that wanted us to go to the MWC instead of the Pac 12?

Kiszla just doing his usual trolling after good news from CU

I found the Kiszla article both provacative and timely. I appreciate his relevant insights and applaud his efforts to keep CU fans engaged on the most important topics. Right on time, and right on the money, is what I say.

A number of thoughts on this all at one time.

First, Jizla is a lazy a**hole who doesn't want to bother doing the work to research a legitimate column so he frequently resorts to this kind of crap baiting local fans into what he knows will be a reaction that gets people to pay attention to him. He does it to Broncos fans most often because they are the biggest fan base in the region, he does it to Rockies fans, Avs & Nuggets fans, and he does it to Buffs fans because he knows that as long as he is getting noticed he is being read and as long as he is being read he likely has a job. He doesn't do this stuff to CSU fans because there aren't enough of them to make a significant readership base. CU is the dominant college sports program in the region and the only one with a significant fan base so he attacks CU. We respond on cue just like the other fan bases he attacks and he is happy.

Secondly there is a college coach who is going to be leaving soon but it isn't Tad Boyle. The school that has had surprising success on the court but can't pay to keep their coach and maintain a high level program is a bit further north. Tim Miles will be out of Ft. Collins next year at the latest and this year would be no surprise. He took a team with no height and marginal talent to the tourney, granted out of an overrated mid-major league. He doesn't have any real long term ties to the school or the state. The league isn't going to ge any better, CSU isn't going to have any more revenue, and other schools with a lot more to offer are always turning over coaches. Jizla doesn't mention this because again CSU doesn't matter.

Lastly, Tad isn't going anywhere soon. Tad is a different kind of guy, he's a guy who gave up a solid, well paying job to be an assistant coach and do what he loved. He is also a guy who is a Colorado guy through and through. He and his family love living here, he has great relationships here, his bonds here are tight.

This doesn't mean that CU will not have to come up with more money for him and his assistants, that has to happen and will happen. Winning lots of games, being on TV, and filling the CEC makes all that much easier. At this point with what Tad is building there aren't going to be huge numbers of programs that are a definite step up from CU. Most that are going to be that step up are in places that Tad doesn't want to raise his family. There are some programs Tad would likely listen to. If Kansas came calling he would at least listen to them. These same programs however aren't going to come looking at a coach unless he taken a team to some significant wins which means at the worst we have a few years of tourner success and a program built to a very high level when we are faced with finding a new coach.

You're gonna get UBL'd.

At halftime of the Baylor game I was sitting in my seat and I see Kiszla walking up the steps from the courtside press area up to the concourse. Naturally I confront him about this article basically saying that it was a "crap in the punchbowl" and the morning after what was arguably the biggest win in CU athletics since 2001 no one wants to read an article about how the coach is probably going to leave soon. I told him that what he wrote had merit but I wanted to know why he chose to write about that the day after this huge victory rather then something highlighting the accomplishments of the team. He didn't understand what I was saying and thought I was arguing with him that Boyle wouldn't in fact leave. He asked me how much I donate to CU athletics, his point presumably being that to keep Boyle we would have to show more commitment and pay him more which again I was not disagreeing with him about. A couple minutes later on his way back down from the concourse he stopped by my seat and continued to lecture me on money and donations and how that's what drives success in college athletics. I told him multiple times that I had no I idea what he was talking about and asked what any of this had to do with the topic and timing of the story he wrote. He then walked away. I just sent him an email to clarify my point and am hoping to hear back.

Good luck. You would have saved yourself and the rest of us a huge headache if you'd just pushed him down the stairs
