A few years ago, we had 2 losing programs and AllBuffs basketball forums that could go a month without seeing a post.

No more.

This was one of the greatest seasons (maybe the greatest) in the history of CU basketball. Both programs finished with over 20 wins for the first time ever and the men brought home a Pac-12 Championship.

Both programs have recruiting classes coming in that are nationally ranked.

We cut the ribbon on a new state-of-the-art practice facility along with making arena improvements.

Revenues from the men's program are reportedly 3x what they were 3 years ago.

And following it on AllBuffs amazingly good. The improvements from when I was treading water with the hoops forums are dramatic. I honestly don't know how it can get much better besides just growing as the program grows.

There was great and timely info all year. There was great analysis. We had some new members and guests to the site who added a ton of good content while raising our basketball IQs (I'm not naming names for fear of omission). Our recruiting coverage is unreal, especially considering how difficult it can be to find and compile this for hoops. We had some great get togethers for pre-games and even gave away some tickets. And the passion of Buff fans for hoops really found an outlet here that resulted in our members doing some great things to support the program, go nuts in game threads & chat, and keep this place fun (read: irreverent).

I also wanted to commend Jens for the great work he's done with social media to help make this happen, too. It's still shocking for me to see some of the people who follow the AB twitter feed. And the way that AB was able to drive donation for these C-Club road trips, get season ticket reservations going from the AD, and even find someone willing to pick up Snow and Rugged was nothing short of amazing.

So, I guess I ended up thanking everyone. But, really, that is hand-in-glove with thanking Goose for doing an amazing job pulling all this together and making it what it is.

Yes - Goose ****ing rocks. I'm a basketball idot, but I've learned (and continue to learn) a ton as this forum has taken off.

Thanks to you sir, and all the other key contributors on this board!

Thank you to Goose and everyone who contributes and makes this the best place to talk Buffs bball. I don't know what I would do without it, during the season i refresh the page about 3 times a minute.

the basketball forum is amazing thanks to Goose, Buffnik and jgisland especially. There are a ton of awesome posters and the half-time meetups are great.

Yes, great job and thank you to Goose, 'nik, etc. for making this a great bball board! It's been great seeing the activity on this board, even post-season.

stop trying to over take me in the most times name changed department.

Thanks to Goose for moderating the basketball forum. BeBe told me about this forum this year as our previous haunting ground is about the Big 12. Thank you including the women's team in This Week in Basket Buffs.

I have been following both teams since 1975. One of my friends was dating a player way back when so we always got in to the games for free. This was when basketball was played in Balch Fieldhouse. Somewhere I have a picture of that player cutting a turkey on Thanksgiving at my house. Wonder where he is now?

Been through a lot of ups and downs with both teams, but mostly with the women's team. I think both programs will be better next year than they were this year.

Thanks to Goose, JG, and others, I know more about CU BBall than I ever intended. Great job this season fellas. Whoever picked up Snow and Rugged in Trinidad, bad job.

Goose is the man, I am a huge hoops fan and obviously a CU fan, but Goose really got me into CU hoops this year. Yeah I went to CU games before, but that was about it. Did I know anything about the incoming recruits, follow every minute detail of the team and not be able to wait for Thursday nights and Sat afternoons? Absolutely not, I do all of ths now due to goose's great coverage of the team.

I can't wait for next year and for all of our fellow Buff fans to jump on this hoops bandwagon.

One more thought, we have all trolled these other P12 message boards, what is amazing is the schools as strong in hoops as some of them don't have half the indepth coverage of the team or interest on the boards as allbuffs, I am looking at you UofA pointguardu.com.....

I echo the praises being showered on Goose for his leadership running this board! I started lurking around Allbuffs last season after getting a “gut feel” that something special was developing in the bb program. I never played organized basketball so my knowledge of x’s and o’s is very limited. I have learned a ton about the game from this board. That makes following the team and program so much more fulfilling. I just recently joined Allbuffs as a member and paid the 15 bucks primarily because I felt guilty getting all this quality information and not giving back anything.

I was around back in the 80’s when I got the same “gut feeling” about the football program after coach Mac started getting some good recruiting classes. I bought football season tickets back then and enjoyed the ride during the 90’s. It’s obvious I am a bandwagon fan (not proud of it) but if you give me a decent product to watch and hope for the future then I’m all in.

Thank again to Goose for the excellent work and to the community at large for making this site what it is!

Jesus hell, I spend a couple of hours off of the board to go apartment shopping and chaos breaks out. Not sure what's going on here...

Seriously though, thanks guys. Honestly, most of the credit that goes to me should be directed elsewhere. All of the Junta does a good job on this board, and we wouldn't be anywhere without Scotchy laying the groundwork. He & 'Nik did all of the heavy legwork (especially in the recruiting board) and then I get to take the credit. Not sure how that works, but I'm not complaining.

And honestly, this is a great community. While I may finally have been upgraded to a 2* mod, this board is full of a lot of high-major posters. Like Nik, I too am scared to start naming names because I know I'll forget people, but it wouldn't matter what I was doing if you guys weren't here to interact.

And, as always, if you have any ideas on things we could do features on this off-season (good God it's going to be a long off-season), please don't hesitate to let me know.

Goose, thanks for all your time making this a great place to come and talk and learn about CU basketball. I really appreciate you including the Womens team as well. I know Womens basketball isn't as popular as the Mens game but I think it is important to keep up with our Womens team considering, first, that they are Buffs and second, their tradition. They deserve the attention!

Great season everyone! I think we are in for many more!

I will admit that I'm more of a CU basketball fan than a CU football fan because I believe CU will have competitive teams in basketball for many years to come and quick turnarounds are easier in basketball compared to football. I am just not seeing the kind of commitment towards football from the adminstration compared to basketball from the adminstration. I believe Bohn will be at CU for many years no matter what happens with football because football will be medicore until the new fieldhouse is built in the NE corner of Folsom Field and given Bohn's KU background, I wouldn't be surprised if he will put more energy into basketball like football like they do in Lawerence.
