Is funding of Cal's football stadium project in trouble?

Whoever is behind the stadium financing is just dancing to the same music being played in the Sacramento Capitol building.

Over promise. Over build. Overdraft.

Liverflukes just PM'd me to let me know that they've got it all under control.

What are they going to do? Tear it back down and put the wooden bleachers and crumbling facades back?

Meh...poorly written and one-sided article sourcing a lame professor who has been trying to kill football at Cal for years. Same crap different year. How are your renovations going by the way?

Funny you ask.
We're about out of the hole for the 2003 club seat renovations and the buy out of Gary Barnett's contract. And we've made some progress paying off Hawkins.

I think we rubbed a couple nickels together and put a videoboard on layaway.

We're drinking Keystone Lite and living the dream. **** yeah!

be silent, you dirty hippie!

i just find it so charming that we are in a conference wherein someone other than us can be referred to as a "dirty hippie"!

wait until you hear our real announcement that has been pre-announced.

it will be freaking epic and the news may cause the ground to shake under your stadium! oh wait, it might do that anyhow. just so i don't get caught in the coldecott tunnel, i'm good.

btw, flukes, I've now tried twice to register on bearinsider without receiving a confirmation email. I assume it's because I made the mistake of using your name when they asked who referred me to the site.

You two hippies are funny.

One of the stranger parts about the Pac is so many renovating to make their stadiums drastically smaller. Cal, Stanford, now Arizona State. ****ing weirdos.

This.

When it's all said and done, I think only UCLA, USC and UW will have bigger stadiums than CU in the Pac 12. That's bizarre.

Take that bicycle riding bear gig on the road. People pay good money to see a bear ride a bicycle.... Especially in Palo Alto... Fundraising solved.

Perhaps in other parts of the Pac this would be true - but I hear in Palo Alto the natives are used to seeing Bears do all sorts of manual labor and service work.
