Not a surprise to see the SEC well represented, nor to see USC/Oregon pretty high. Would be pretty surprised if those teams do not end up playing twice this season. Neither has an overwhelmingly tough schedule, but USC has the benefit of getting the Ducks at home, which means they have a good shot at hosting them again in the PAC-12 Championship. Oregon might have the easiest overall schedule in the conference.

Elsewhere, Arky without Petrino is not a top 10 team IMO. Also, I think K-State is going to take some steps back this season. They had eight wins by a TD or less last season. They are good, but are not going to get to 10 wins again. TCU actually might have a decent shot at winning the Big 12.

I would LOVE to see TCU win the big 12.

K State retunrs most of their important peices from last year, but they won't sneak up on anyone. Like every year, they'll still beat Texas.

Boise St needs to do a lot of rebuiliding. They may put up a decent amount of wins in the terrible MWC, but they won't be nearly as good as past teams.

Okie Light will be improved on defense, but they're starting over from scratch on offense with a freshman qb. Don't expect them to finish in the top 25.

K-State was so much about their QB last year. With Klein returning, I think they'll be very good.

What do you bet that Notre Dumb keeps sneaking higher until they are in the top 15 by the start of the year?

Talentwise, I think this is a pretty good Notre Dame team. They were pretty good last year, but their problem was turn overs. They were -15 on the year. Only SMU was worse. With their brutal schedule, if they can get to 8 regular season wins this year, they'll deserve to end the season ranked.

Snyder is one of the best coaches in college football. Nobody gets more out of less than him. Old dude has forgotten nothing.

i like paterson's D and the athletes at TCU but remains to be seen if they can be elite w/out that kid that was their QB for about 8 years....red head. forget name.

i'll think of it. he was a good player.

as far as Darth Snyder, KSU was about my fave team to watch last year. i love what they do on both sides of the ball, special teams....don't beat themselves. that game with ATM was a classic. a literal classic, not an ESPN only classic.

Bama vs LSU in Baton Rouge this year will determine SEC champ. I hope Miles has a better game plan this time. Mettenberger is the best passing QB LSU has had in years. I hope Miles has enough sense to open it up with him.

You do realize that football is played outside of the Confederacy, right?

What was CU's record vs Snyder?

I was curious, too, so I looked it up in the media guide. 12-6-1 with a 4 game losing streak from 1997-2000 as BS was turning around KSU and CU fell down in the late Skippy/early GB years.
