Cordillera sale finalized

$3.1 billion total with $2.5 billion in cash. That's $300 million more than originally estimated. Good news

Not sure on how much solich is personally taking from that, but:

50,000,000 = 2% of 2.5 billion.
250,000,000 = 10% of 2.5 billion.

GIMME.

Yep. Once you get past having $50+ mil, does the rest even matter? And generocity is the world's most respected trait:smile2: But, from Bohn's press release it sounds like Solich isn't paying for all/most of it

I´d be somewhat surprised if he didn´t have 50m in the bank from his previous ventures.

Supposedly, freeing up the cash from this sale was key to any donation he makes. What we don't know is did he have shares representing 10% or 80% of Cordillera or something else entirely.

As a side note, my first pass at this was a thought of "Why do I care if Cordillera Lodge & Spa is being sold, and I wonder if they are going to mention Kobe Bryant in a footnote somewhere..."

I didn´t mean it in regards to a possible donation, more of a general thought.

So, I've heard that Solich is hardcore CU, but don't really know about him. What's his story?

Now I'm disappointed. I thought this was going to be a T. Boone level thing.

The reason the company is called Cordillera III is because he's already done this twice before with Cordillera and Cordillera II. And as soon as the no compete clause expires he'll probably do it again with Cordillera IV.

Cordillera is done. Next venture is Energy IV. They have 6 months of work in integrating CIII into Apache before they will start really working on Energy.
