Phil Fulmer and RC Slocum are College Football Hall of Famers?

 This is almost as big of a joke as the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Johnson, who led Miami to the 1987 national championship, will be joined in this class by two other coaches, Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee (1993-2008) and R.C. Slocum of Texas A&M (1989-2002). Johnson went 81-34-3 in 10 seasons at the U (1984-88) and Oklahoma State (1979-83). He said several times Tuesday that the most fun he had in his life came at Miami, when his Hurricanes lost a total of two regular-season games in four seasons.

Yeah, Fulmer is certainly deserving. '98 national championship + top 25 final ranking 14/17 seasons is H.O.F. caliber, IMO.

this is true...i'd be surprised if this induction doesn't set a precedent for developing a weight classification for HOF coaches though.

Not a Hall of Fame coach in my book. Good coach, not Hall of Famer.

RC Slocum is just

2 SEC titles. 1 MNC. Won his division 6 times and was 98–34 in the SEC. I'm not saying that he deserves to be in the Hall or not, but damn those are impressive. In the end though Tennessee's lack of in-state recruits and the rise of recruiting by other teams was his downfall.

Uhhh, have you looked at what coaches are in the H.O.F.? There are 190 coaches. Fulmer is certainly deserving given some of the others in there.
