During the Hawk years we had had 4 main losses that really set us back. If you had to pick the worst one, the one that did most damage to our program, What would you choose.

Montana St. (We were one oft the last 8 teams in FBS not to play a DII team. We lost. At Home. By 9. Disgraceful.)

Alabama (With a win we would have had a winning season. Lost by 6)

Nebraska (They came back on an impossible 57-yard field goal... and Suh scored on a pic6.)

Kansas (Last game. 4th Quarter.)

This topic sucks worse than every single Hawk coached game against Mizzou.

The Nebraska loss was absolutely heartbreaking. But, I didn't go into the game expecting a win.

Florida State.

Not that we lost to them, but the OL injuries that game and the beating Cody took that left him shellshocked completely screwed up the team from then on.

I was at that one. It looked promsing at the start, but went downhill. Would have loved to have beaten FSU on the road even if it was an off year for them.

was there too. it was sooooooooooo painful to watch cody overthrow three guys that were wide open for td's in the first half. they could have gone into half with a commanding lead.

I was similarly annoyed when we missed connecting on so many big plays when we played at ASU.

I refuse to participate in this comedy of tragedies.

I was at the river city showdown in Jacksonville. So many FSU fans...

Some of our worst losses under our last 6 coaches

Fairbanks: Losing to Drake twice and losing to Oklahoma at home 82-42

McCartney: tie between 1992 and 1994 Nebraska. 52-7 loss was a true nightmare on a cold and rainy Halloween night in Lincoln. '94 loss probably cost us another national championship.

Neuheisel: '97 loss to Michigan in Ann Arbor. We were pre-season top 5 (picked by SN to win national title) and Michigan just rips us apart. Ricky makes an ass of himself on the sideline chewing out Hessler.

Barnett: 2001 loss to Fresno State cost us a trip to the national championship game in the Rose bowl. And then just about every game against a ranked opponent from '03-'05. The worst was the 70-3 loss to Texas in the CCG.

Hawkins: Montana State, Toledo, '09 CSU in Boulder, and every Mizzou game, especially the game that ended the non shutout streak!

Embree: Oregon last year was a disgrace. They didn't have a great D and we should have been able to score more than 2 points off a bonehead play by an Oregon player at home.

Mizzou was Hawkins kryptonite.

Geez with Hawk there was a ton, alot have been mentioned. That game in Ames comes to mind, Clete that sumbitch. Any Missouri game was not heartbreaking but downright ****ing embarrassing. I rarely turn the tv off even if CU is getting throttled, I did twice while Hawk was here. 92 Nebraska I even watched all of it, always remember the Frazier, Figures collision.

You have to remember the past so you don't make the same mistake in the future.

Holy crap. I was at that one as well. Talk about your long drives home. Come to think of it, we lost a lot of games when I was in school too. I need to check my old engineering text books to see if there is a section on trend analysis...

Didn't read thread because why the **** would we want to talk about this depressing ****? I really should just stay the **** out of the Football Forum.

Was that when they got their first Big 12 win?
