Having pieced together information from various sources, it appears the Pac-12 and DirecTV are close to a carriage deal. Does that mean an agreement in the next few hours … or days … or next week? I’m not sure of the exact timing.*And as with any negotiation, last-minute snags are always possible. But it sure [...]

still nothing on if this will be part of the sports package or part of the base packages.

Big Ten network is in the choice (bottom) package, so I would imagine P12 (at least the national) would be too.

DTV is the King Soopers of satellite providers. Dish is the Safeway. They offer basically the same product, but one just seems to provide it so much better than the other.

:iagree::angry3: Have a nice day, Dish Network. Hello, Direct TV!

Made the call last night and signed up for DTV (been with Dish for over 10 years and they are a customer of mine thru their Denver subsidiary Echostar). As I've said before, I have expected DTV to get on board and DISH will likely not.

With that said, I pushed out the install until mid next week (I want to get on the schedule before the NFL crowd ties them all up). I expect some install delays as I have a lot of trees.
I can of course cancel at anytime, so I'm playing it by ear right now.

Well, holic, I will be right behind you in line to switch from Dish to DTV. The second the DTV deal is announced, I am on the phone to Dish telling them to eat a turd and then on to DTV. Nine years with Dish...way to go Charlie.

We should start setting up referral numbers $10 off a month for both parties

What is going to buy the person a CU shirt for doing a referral? Lets see the biggest kickback.

I just added Lifetime HD and Oxygen for Darth, OU buff and Hagan

thanks guys I will likely be using one of the referrals.
I've been doing tons of checking on this and just finished another bitch chat session with dish support (customer for ten years, which is likely gonna change soon..). Today was a little interesting/new. he kept asking me to check back in a couple of weeks. Said it at least three times (intermingled with my threats, pleads, etc). I told him I'd check back when games started (for my last time), not two weeks, but in any case it was a little interesting to get something more specific from them other than "I will submit your request to our programming department". I'm actually thinking they might sign on just after the first games, which has apparently been their MO in the past. It might be too late for me though.

My referral is the best referral according to me. When anyone wants one when switching over to get $10 off a month for 10 months, send me a message.

I totally know you'll pick me over everyone else. I just had a happy Gilmore-like vision of my happy place.

Just made the switch. To be clear, adding ESPN Gameplan will do me no good in Oklahoma? Want to do whatever to see as many games as possible.

Also, **** Dish. Called them 8 times and EVERY time I had to explain what the PAC 12 is. :bang:
