Why the fans at CU are the reason why we are so bad

Let me start by saying the posters on this board are delusional.

We're two fgames into Embree's second season and everyone on here is ready to throw in the towel. I guess I blame it on youth, Not football team youth but fans who are posting being members of the me generation. Hire a new coach and we'll win today, We'll be top 25 today. We're so much better than an FCS team, we should have won by twenty, We're so much better than a non-BCS team we should win by thirty.

Forget that we have freshman all over the field. Two starting at corner, wide receiver, Tupou is hella good and he's in a ffffflot. You guys are a bunch of delusional imps who have so much to learn about college football that I have to cut you slack for your complete ignorance, You will learn the beauty of college football is the parity. Bad coaching is HWSNBN losing games because of 13 penalties for 201 yards. Bad coaching is never letting your team get pissed off for losing. Bad fans are those who blame the players for a loss at Iowa State in 2005 which was clearly stolen by one crooked ref. Or blaming players for a collapse vs Texas which was clearly the result of an obsessed Boulder DA. You fans don't know the history except the box scores from the glory days. You wont shell out one nickel to improve facilities which are already being funded and built by better alumni who don't suck like you

You my friends, suck

We have a horrible reputation across the country because of you, Not because of the product on the field, because of you. you know who you are

I don't care how young you are, if you're in the Pac 12, you shouldn't lose to a BAD FCS team. Ever. Even if your whole team is filled with freshmen.

Your post screams 'EXCUSES' to me

You're right, we should all be impressed by this great coaching we have seen these last two weeks.

I must have missed the "we need to be top 25 right away" posts. Those were stupid.

doesn't help when UCLA, ASU and Arizona (all in Pac 12 South w/Buffs) get new coaches and suddenly all three teams look night and day better than
they did under their previous crappy coaches-

Flyer, you are a dick. Be very careful about who you paint with a broad stroke as 'YOU'. You aren't my friend and you don't know me. Ahole!

Ah yes, we are young...so let's all completely accept a seventh straight losing season with little light at the end of the tunnel and not let our frustrations show! Just continue taking it up the tailpipe like a bunch of blissfully ignorant "imps."
The staff liked Webb because of his experience. There's supposed to be experience and leadership at OL and LB. Sure, lots of young guys out there, but this isn't SMU post-death penalty trotting out ONLY young guys...

It's funny how when CU puts a reasonable product on the field, the students and young alumni in the CEC are now considered the 'best atmosphere' for Pac12 hoops. But football is completely our fault.

Adapt or die old man. Perception is reality. Oregon's flash is our culture now. The world is literally in our fingertips ... or in our iphones. That's the world we live in today. Or hide in your cave, whatever you choose.

There are too many examples of good coaches joining crap teams and turning things around in 1 season, even when the talent level isn't there. Embree + co have have had plenty of time to prepare a young team to beat a crappy FCS team.

And what do you think, by the way, did the dude up in Ft. Collins inherit? Kind of obvious after how they played this weekend, yet he beat us in his first freaking game!

Let me start by saying you're an idiot.

And end by saying "youth" is NO excuse to lose to Sacramento State or CSU.

I'm an Embree fan and what should be called a Embree homer. As fans, getting upset or disillusioned after choking on balls two weeks in a row is not wrong. We are merely holding the coaching staff to their word. What is that? Well they've been chanting bowl game since the spring. I didn't set that expectation, they did. So to come out and **** the bed against CSU and now CSUS staring at losing to Fresno St as well? Sorry, this is big boy football. I will hold you accountable after all your bluff and bravado this offseason. Bird lost me with the "9 wins, no excuses" campaign. Then all he did was make excuses as he and the coaches fell well short. The fans should not feel bad for believing the coach and then being brutally let down by losing to a I- AA team? If Embree and his coaches have their finger on the pulse, and the right stuff, they will steal games down the stretch and make this a building block campaign. If they don't and the floor falls out on the team, 0-12 style, I don't know how the fans or administrators could ever trust him again. This is a performance based business. Produce or get the hell out of the way. A savy coach would have spelled out that this team is young, don't expect much, we are trying to not get blown all. All we've read is arrogance and heard bluster.

I like Embree but think he needs this humbling experience. Now with giving away 2 W's, he needs to go find them elsewhere on the schedule. We are seriously looking at 0-12. I have not seen a program keep a coach after 0-12. Not even Hawaii keeps their coach after 0-12. Embree and crew best find a new book fast.

fuking excuses. Yeah, because you are so much smarter on football than anyone who doesnt see it your way.

This bullschit season suks ass, and it's not just youth, it;s crappy support of the school, the moronic rich-tree hugger city of boulder who hates football and all the "noisy" people it brings to their precious city despite bringing in millions to the small businesses in town, AND its the crappy playcalling of this staff who do not make a good coaching team and will not succeed at this level.

I'd like to apologize. Clearly, I'm responsible for 6 straight losing seasons, losses to CSU and Sac State, Cigar Aficionado naming CU the worst BCS program, regular appearances in ESPN's bottom ten, etc., etc.

I should paste on my best Stepford Wife smile, tithe 10% of my income to the CU AD, and send weekly love letters with homemade baked goods to Benson, DiStephano, Bohn, Plati, Embree and the rest of the coaches.

Let's focus on the pageantry of college football, Folsom being a leader in green initiatives, GPA records, and Title IX leadership. The numbers on the scoreboard really don't matter.

I've met you. You're anything but youthful. In fact, I suspect that you're over 35.

That great CU program? No, You didnt build that!

So all of the time and money I've spent on CU football are the "reason(s) why we are so bad?" I feel like a complete fool now. With this logic, I guess if I completely ignore the program and make them pay me, the CU football program would be good.

Sounds good. I always complain that I don't have enough time to get things done, and with this economy, I'm barely able to pay my bills. You've helped me solve many of my problems.

Thanks buffaloflyer!

P.S. for the sarcasm challenged, I figured that even you would get it. But just in case, here's a visual:

:rofl2:

most especially you
Sorry for wanting a coaching staff who has been out-coached, out fired up, and out-hearted in two games to be out. It's year two, not year one. Youth is not an excuse to lose to the two teams we just lost to.

I've been going to games since I can remember with my dad and grandpa. Have missed one game since '97 and have had my heart ripped out yearly by this team and I'm fed up with it.

pretty stupid logic on this thread starter. somehow its our fault....

that's asinine.

What's the cutoff for the "me generation"? Wasn't that the label on the Baby Boomers? I'm very confused now as to who flyer was targeting. Do you have to be at least 67 to be a good Buffs fan?

I wonder of Sackmans father and father-in-law count as part of the 'me' generation?
