How Many Season Ticket Holders This Year and Next?

As I wait for the ticket office to call regarding my request for 2 more season tickets I was curious how many season tickets will be sold this coming year as well as the next. Here is what I found out through email with the athletic department:

Keg capacity 11,064
2010-11 season ticket holders -4,000
Student, band and "held tickets" -3,064

Season tickets that still need to be sold so the Keg is at capacity every game - 4,000 heading into this season.

I think the 2011-12 season ticket number will increase by 1,200 to about 5,200 and we get another increase of 1,500 up to 6,500 after winning our 2nd Pac 12 title in a row this year.

I am hoping the numbers are even higher next year so the few Kansas fans that are able to get in next year don't recognize the place and we return home court advantage to the Buffs for every game.

How many years until the Keg is sold out for the season?

I have never looked at season bball tickets. Do they require a donation similar to our fball season tickets?

yeah i definitely am. I went to a number of games and the NCAA tourney and i feel like its time to get season tix

is anyone on allbuffs adding season tixs after not having them last year?

We are, but we're donating most of them back to the ticket office. Mostly a donation with the benefit of a game or two during the holidays (hopefully).

Man I wish I could convince my parents to get some. Any ideas on how to turn some non basketball fans?

Going to buy a ticket. I like supporting a winner and I didn't buy fb season this year. Can I just have it donated? Won't make it to a game.

this is why everyone complains about the ticket office. This is pat of an email I got from the Athletic Department. Do they not realize how hard it is to read blue text on a grey background?

I got this as well. The one plus is that they are reaching out via email and other electronic methods more freaquently which is a positive step forward. They may not be doing completely right, but I am starting to see some improvements since they brought in the marketing head.

I went from 3 seats to 4 this year and it still is under $300 for center court seats up top. We're in the last room so I can stand the whole time without blocking anyone....fantastic view of the whole court. Great deal - my dad, sister and I can take kids, friends, business associates, etc and it's super inexpensive. The new practice facility makes for a much better pregame experience versus that banquet room bull**** they had a few years ago.

As far as the athletic entertainment product goes, the ROI is through the roof compared to football at the moment (and for the foreseeable future)...

I have turned my wife (non sports fan) by having her learn some things about the players, so when she goes to the games, she feels like she is supporting someone, not just a bunch of random people playing basketball. Making the game more personal to her.

I am working on it with Football now, and we are getting better, but basketball was easy since its easy to pick out players and so few players its also easy to personalize each one.

I'm likely going to go in with a friend of mine for three season tickets this year. I don't want to go to every game, but half of them would be fine. The question about getting non-basketball fans interested is a good one. I'm not really a fan of the game of basketball. There are a lot of issues with the game that make it frustrating for me to watch. My daughter, OTOH, absolutely LOVES basketball. It's easy to understand. It's indoors, so it's warm. The energy inside the CEC is fantastic, and the games don't take all day long. So, while I'd love it if I could convince my daughter to come to the football games with me, I'm going to settle for having her come to the basketball games with me.
