The current headline over on the Rivals board is 'Four-commit looking at options.' Parsons is our only 4*, at least on Rivals ratings. I hope I'm wrong, but if the beat downs continue I wouldn't blame him in the least for flipping, likely to UW. So much for the...just give them time to get talent in plan. How the hell does the staff recruit in this environment. This is a different era. We can't keep taking embarrassing beat downs on national TV and expect to bring in top talent to fix the problem. It is not surprising for kids with options to want to play for a program with a chance of winning some games. New staffs have a small window to demonstrate things are improving, particularly a staff with no big name coaches or pedigrees. Plus, with a so many young guys in the program with 3 or 4 years of eligibility left, it is completely possible for young guys with talent to consider transfer options as well, resulting in us treading water in a perpetual level of suck.

I was fully on board with the call for patience and and building up the pipeline and experience, but that was when I thought we were looking at 3-5 wins and slowly demonstrating progress as the freshmen get their sea legs. When the likes of Fresno State (who had what...3 wins last year?) can name their score against us, and it looks like we are going to go winless, I just don't see how the administration can afford to not make a move. The conference leadership did their job and went out and got a deal to provide their schools with the resources to compete...but the expectation is that each school is going to do their part to put the most competitive product possible on the field.

In today's climate, there is no more room for patience. Recruits have more access to more information and quicker than ever. Improvement needs to be shown or recruits are going to find other options. I don't consider it likely, but there's still time to turn things around this season. If there's no improvement shown this season, this is the primary reason a move needs to be made and be made now.

I don't think this team is as talent bereft as some do, but we can't afford a bomb on this recruiting class, even if it is smaller, and hope that they can rebound with recruiting next year. If Embree is given a third year and fails, that'll be two more classes down the tubes with one solid, if not spectacular, class last year. It just makes the hole deeper.

Regardless of coach, Bohn needs to get on that facilities announcement ASAP if we have any hope of cobbling together even a class in the 40s this year as it is.

CJ just said on the radio that Embree needs time. He pretty much blew it off as a rebuilding program. I about drove off of the road, I was so pissed. I've been pretty calm today, but that pretty much made me blow my top. What the **** is it going to take to prove that this isn't ****ing working?????? This isn't ****ing rebuilding!! It is an absolute disgrace what is happening to CU Football. Embree has the rest of this season to turn it around, but we all know what is going to happen. Embree has single handidly destroyed records that have stood since the beginning of time! Literally! I'm starting to get pissed at the McCartney old boys club. These guys did wonderful things for this program, but they are now destroying what they built while they are all chumming it up in the athletic department and in the local media. This program is so much bigger than even McCartney. Time for them to ride off into the sunset, and let CU move into a new era.

CJ is knee deep in this ****. He will remain loyal to JE to the bitter end. Sad, sad times for CU football.

I continue the "High Risk = Low Patience" argument. Also, when a coach starts setting records for opponents AND THEIR CONFERENCES, this is always always a bad sign. VERY bad sign.

How many first-year coaches have we faced? CSU. Fresno.

Sac State's coach is in his 5th Season. Obviously these decades of success at the highest level gave him the edge of outcoach Embree & Co.

Well Leach is experienced but you get another one in his first year this week.....and we will receive the the proper beat down.

And ain't that the shame? Leach HAS to have one of the complex systems in all of football offenses, and yet his 2nd-string QB does just fine last week, filling in for the injured starter. Sheesh. He knows how to teach. He did that at TxTech and it was obvious, from their first season, that his squad was going to get a lot of wins.

We really need this win THIS WEEK. NEED it. We're already seeing two weeks of "CU Football may be worst in the country" comments. A win now MIGHT stem the flow for the rest of the season. A loss would open those floodgates and any win after that could be written off as a pure fluke. And if it's done at the end of the season, against Utah, few recruit-prospects will remember. They'll just remember 10 weeks of "CU is worst" commentaries.

Embree really needs to get a win NOW.

Leach doesn't have but maybe a handful of "his own players". He's had to make-do. Embree should have tons of advantages.

But... I'd give Leach a huge edge over CSU's and Fresno's first-year coaches. Huge.
