We just witnessed it.

Can you think of any other times in recent memory where CU came back from 17 down in the 4th qtr to win ?

As I'm sure has already been discussed in the game thread, and in chat...we really owed them that. Now we're even.

Well, at least I won't have to put up with the constant barrage of crap from my co-workers this week.

Im damn proud, these guys really stepped up. We can diminish it tomorrow, these guys earned this. Pretty damn cool moment, reflect then build fellas.

didn't CU fall behind to the Gophers in the game Detmer came in for the first time to engineer a come back?
We were down 17 in the 3rdQ in that Minnesota game, but today we were down 17 with about 7 minutes left in the 4th. Taking that into account, I think this was the biggest comeback in CU history (unless you count when we were down 24 to Nebraska in the 4th and tied, to lose in OT)

1999, I think. Broke my ****ing heart. I think we actually scored 28 in that fourth quarter.

Yeah ... 1999

Likewise, I hate those fukin fukers!! So many close losses to those SOBs...:bang:

Well, UCLA lost today to the Biebers, let's hope they come in dejected and cant focus.

Then we beat the Arizonas, UW, and Utah and we have our 6 games.

It's quite a statement on pop culture that "bieber" is somehow more pejorative than "beaver".

Re: the 99 Nub game

We were down 27 - 3 going into that 4th quarter. That was the best and worst feeling I've ever had in Folsom, all in the space of about 15 minutes.

Geez, Embree blew Tony Jones out with that chest bump.

Pretty awesome that Embree was more fired up that ANYone on the field. Those bumps were great.

I think we need to see how we do next week and through the rest of the season to fully judge the weight of this comeback victory. If the team comes to gather and compete with tough teams and pull out a couple more victories we'll turn to this game and say this is the biggest comeback in a decade...

I only read 5 wins in there - what's the 6th?

Whoops - missed ArizonaS!

We just witnessed the biggest fourth quarter comeback on the road in school history. Fourth largest overall comeback. #GoBuffs

Considering that I thought that the team had given up on Embree and company, you cannot pass this off simply as a fluke win. Those kids fought hard even when it looked hopeless. EB yelled, but he still was fighting to win, and you can yell encouragement along with criticism.
I think we see why Webb is the guy. Maybe not the best skills of the three main options. But he is a leader. He is the Captain leading the troops on sheer guttiness and will to win. Those are the the 'intangibles' that coaches need to have to turn around the mentality if a team. If the OL keeps improving bit by bit then we can be competitive in a couple more games this year.

I want a coach like JE to lead the Buffaloes. Full of passion and love for this team. Someone who loves the Buffs as much or more than I do. If he can set that same passion and fire and fight into these kids.......we are in good hands. I questioned if that was the case after the first three games of the year. I am soooooo happy to be wrong on that count. I still am not sold on Marshall.....we will have to see how much the OL improves. Even if they do marginally, I hope JE keeps his feelers out for a younger hotshot from D-II ball or a mid major program. Still have to see if the D continues to improve. That was a different D than we saw for the first 14 quarters. Why the difference?

Three TDs in the last 7 minutes, and all they could do was drop back, slow down, and throw long incompletions as their lame QB was being chased around by our 2-man rush. Leach said he wouldn't stay 1-for-4 against CU Football for long. Nope. Now he's 1-for-5.

Four Corners Football-!
