I just watched this game. I knew the outcome going in, but I cannot believe that the following things happened...

1. We were backed up on 2nd and 15 with 8 minutes to go. We proceed to score in two plays.
2. Crawley was getting absolutely punished in the first half. They were going after him all afternoon. In the second half, he showed the brilliance we recruited getting in the middle of every thing.
3. Kasa had his absolute best game as a Buff. Never gaining traction as a DE, he is moved to TE due to our lack of performers at that position. He has crazy physical gifts. He was "Gronk-lite" for us today.
4. Devaughn Thornton had a good game. He had crucial catches for the first time ever in his Buff career.
5. Vigo had an unreal game. He was flying all over the GD field.
6. We tackled as a team. We were the ones popping pads.
7. To top it all off, the GW play was on a 4th and goal called QB sneak from a spread set after our power formation gets stuffed silly. That took huge stones. What a call.

I don't know if we will win many more games this year (if any). But, after seeing the way the coaches reacted to the intense criticism they've faced, I really respect their commitment to our program. Let's build on this W and see what we can do going forward.

Of all the unseen things today, Paul Vigo having a great game is perhaps the biggest surprise.

Great to see Munyer finally living up to his potential in the second half. He had a crucial monster black in the red zone on the last drive.

Fumble recovery was sheer will. He muscled that one away from the WSU guy.

Kasa still learning, and his hands are still developing, but it is nice to see the TE getting more involved.

An audible at that... great courage and leadership from Webb. It was 'hero' or 'goat' with that decsion and I respect him for having the courage to make that call.

Terror had a great game too. He was in on a lot of tackles. Don't know how he did in coverage though.

I also was pretty impressed with Major and Webb. Those 2 were all over the field esp in the 2nd half. Good win for the Buffs.... now lets see if we can keep it rolling at Folsom
