Embarrassing

No, bitch....have known it for years. Have been holding out hope, but complete indifference has settled in.

Buffs have actually played pretty decent today. They just aren't a very good team.

Disappointing to lose to another 1st year coach though. Thankfully, I've heard the 2nd year is the toughest for a coach - so all these teams will suck next year.

Been playing decent? Wow. Brown should have his bollucks removed, assuming he has any.

One good thing.....nobody is watching this game....and the bashing we are taking from ESPN.

Well the defense was a given coming in. I didn't expect them to do anything on defense.

17 points in the 1st half. CU's best 1st half of the season, I think.

I still don't think the offense could score 42 points against a Colorado 3A high school team though.

Yup. I'm less than an hour from Boulder and I'm watching this **** show from home. Don't really care near as much as I used to, either. Haven't thrown a single thing all night.

A top Texas HS team would beat the Buffs. Seriously. A complete mother ****ing joke. Done.

Can't believe I'm saying this. Turning it off to go watch X Factor with my wife.

Or.....switch to the 1993 game vs Texas from an earlier thread. Good ****.

I am sure this is somehow a moral victory. Benson and destuffadoosh? Don't know what to say....other than, tell your people to stop calling me for dough.

First half was pretty good. Second half was a complete joke. 31-0 in your own house?

Webb needs to sit until dillon starts next season.

GREG BROWN IS A DISASTER. Get rid of this clown.

Our JR OL are worse then they were last year.

Embree is ridiculous.
Here are two wonderful gems from his presser, from the CU Twitter account.
"We have to play all four quarters. Right now, we are about a three quarter team - Embree"
WRONG - One quarter team (all 17 in the second)
"
The problem is not the defense. We need to get the offensive momentum going. I'm not proud at all with the way the offense played- Embree"
Mostly wrong...yes, the offense blows, but the defense is totally, utterly overwhelmed against, well, everyone.

Not to say Webb is getting the job done, but Wood and Hirschmann haven't been any better when they've played...

It wasn't the loss that was embarrassing, or even that the halftime score was pretty much totally at odds with the way the game was going. It wasn't even that ASU started to pull ahead in the 3rd quarter. ASU's a better team right now. I can live with that. Not happily, but I can deal.

What was embarrassing was how the team gave up in the 4th quarter. Just laid down and let ASU walk all over them on their own field. I get that there's no depth, no speed, very little talent at all, and freshmen everywhere you look, but the one thing you can do every single game - even if you're so outmanned that you're going to get your ass kicked no matter what - is give your all. This team didn't give their all tonight. Maybe they did in the first half, but not in the second, especially not in the fourth quarter. Totally shameful performance.

I half way agree with you. It's not good enough to just compete. We need to beat teams we shouldnt sometimes. These ****ers were asking for it and we did nothing about it. A screen is not that hard in man. Cant get blocked by a receiver, come on man, really? Man is a pretty simple coverage, guard your guy, simple. We play a gutless D. Id rather blitz the house than let that ****er stand back there and navigate. We cant cover a spread, we are too slow. Blitz the piss outta them and make them make a decision. Better chance to win than playing scared, I havent seen much smart from this staff.

I think the quote of the night was from Jesse Palmer, "I wish I could say that this ASU offense is really good, but it's the CU defense... they are just awful. Guys running around not knowing where to play." I summarized of course

"Disappointed" is what I'm feeling this morning. Disappointed that I even let myself turn the heat down, from under Embree's bottom. No. He can't handle slack. He can't handle latitude. Keep the heat cranked up HIGH, make him squirm. He seems to get his team to perform better.

"Disappointed" I felt encouragment by seeing the O-Line give some pretty good protection-moments in the First Half. And offer up some good holes for running backs.

I'm beyond disappointment when the coaching staff sees a good runner push piles of defenders for extra yards, then he's benched for entire possessions afterward.

Beyond disappointment in seeing the halftime adjustments delivered on the field. This coaching staff seems to know how to teach Quit very well. It's the one aspect of CU Football that's been carried over very well from the past regime.

Is that why this staff would get years and years more to dig the pit deeper?

Well, the Pac-12 loves us. That's for sure. But I hate hearing the ESPN guys joke "ASU meant Shutout in the 2nd Half" and then seeing ASU deliver that, with barely a peep of protest from Embree & Co. Halftime adjustments. We each had over 70 plays on offense - they ended up with 590+, we had 250.

yep, well it has and will come full circle now. Meaning, the recruits will not be coming...The only thing left for embree now, is play time and kids DO NOT want to go to losing programs. If they are studs being recruited by div1 schools, they have heard they are studs since day one. Meaning they have the ego to think they can play anywhere! CU is not digging out of this hole - unless they gut the pig!! Bring in all new coaches, athletic director and then the new coaches can convince recruits that this will turn around... CU football sucks so bad right now
