trapped at lunch with only USA Today to read, I looked at the Sagarin Football Power Ratings. CU checked in at 159. Last among any BCS schools, tucked comfortably between Akron (160) and Army (158). 50 spots ahead was....Villanova. I didn't even know Villanova had a FB team. Oh and next year's FCS opponent Arkansas St. was number 101.

so we are competitive with Army and Akron. Phil and Bruce wanted us to be competitive, they just didn't set our expectations properly.

For the record, I'm not looking forward to the Central Arkansas game. I'm sure Cent Arkansas is lloking forward to us though.

Bruce is so senile that he still thinks Army is competing for national championships and CU is right there with them!

I used to love to analyze Sagarin's charts. I think I will avoid this one.

One of the agonizing points for me, for this season, is that Embree's given CSU their only win. In fact, CSU hasn't been within 12 points of any other team during their continuous losing streak (their 31-19 loss to mighty Utah State). It's not like Embres can claim ignorance of the rivalry between the two schools.

Of course, maybe CSU is really a great program, almost a BCS buster, uh huh. I mean, look how they manhandled Fresno (a 28-7 loss... "manhandled" compared to Fresno vs. Embree's CU offering).

Actually, I'm pretty certain CSU will beat Hawaii this next weekend, and maybe New Mexico to finish out their season. I think I'd prefer that than to have CSU crow about "their only win was against rival CU".
