Dear Jon -

Idot Buff

Jon, the Buff faithful love your dedication to the university, the football program, former and current players, alumni, and the fans. And we know that more than anything, you want to restore the competitive heart of the football program, and build the Buffs back to the level of the recent past.

To that end, it must be clear to you that the program is in a death spiral, and drastic measures are needed. Unlike your predecessor, you are not interested in waiting out the inevitable, thereby causing further and perhaps irreparable damage to the program.

Please save Buff football before it is too late, and submit your resignation. We see no other course of action. We are confident that you agree.

It has to be tough on Embree to be failing so publicly in his dream job. I truly empathize with him... I love his passion.

But at some point we have to call it like it is - he is not maximizing the potential of this roster and has been outcoached in the games that we were supposed to win. This program doesn't have the luxury of giving him a few more years to figure it out.

I thought my letter here would work. Somebody needs to post it on twitter so Jon will see it. I am certain it will influence him to do the right thing.

Of course, I am a smart ass.....but I really believe that Jon will do the right thing to save this program.

Damn. I guess my efforts failed miserably. See you guys in five years.

Good point....see you never, because this death spiral has killed Buff football.

Your sentiments are certainly understood but is there nothing else great about CU which would keep you as a fan of the university? At the very least, is there nothing else which would keep you as a 7,000 + poster on Allbuffs or...is this goodbye?

The right thing for Jon is to never quit. I expect no less of him as a CU Alum. The right thing for CU is to fire Jon if we think we need to. You can be a ****** coach, but you can never, never quit in that profession if you ever hope to work again. Can you hire a failed head coach as a position coach? Of course. Can you hire a quitter? Never.

Drop this bull****, it's retarded.

And they say people from Philadelphia are classless and have no patience?

To just blame this on Embree shows a complete lack of Colorado Football knowledge.

Petrino quit @ Atlanta and got hired pretty quick in Arkansas. Jus sayin...

They say people from Philly are classless? I had no idea.....

And did I say that I am blaming this solely on Embree? Maybe people from Philly are stupid.

He's already quit in terms of putting effort into his job. I think Dallas is asking him to quit receiving money for doing nothing. Also Bobby Petrino and Nick Saban quit their NFL teams and still had tons of teams wanting to hire him.

You can tell he quit by the "I'm happy with the effort we gave against USC" when even the players admitted they didn't give a **** about the game

Both Petrino and Saban quit after accepting new jobs. Doesn't that kind of happen with every coach? The difference here is Dallas is suggesting Embree to simplygive up on coaching and resign. Big damn difference. Burrito has called this one correctly...

I am suggesting that Jon must recognize that he is in way over his head, and the longer it takes him to face reality, the more harm he will bring to the program. Jon bleeds black and gold, and we love him. But he needs to save the program from the death spiral. If he does not quit, we are completely screwed (because of Benson and destuffadoosh).
