Looks like the opening round in the Charleston Classic just got a little easier. Saw it on cbssportsline, fwiw.

This is huge, was just voted co-captain. They do get Josh Benson back after he tore his ACL early last year, so their front line isn't depleted, but this is still a big blow.

Huge for us, but I still hate this match up. Remember Maryland in Puerto Rico last year when they were seriously depleted early on...

My biggest concern was Dayton's frontcourt. This definitely helps. We need to win the Dayton game in the worst way.

I would argue we need to go 2-1, by any means possible.

Agreed, but I'm going to side with Nik on this one. The RPI boost of beating Dayton and the teams we would face after that is MUCH greater this way. Put it this way, would you rather have Dayton (W), Baylor (L), Murray State (W) or would you rather have Dayton (L), Boston College (W), Auburn (W)? Winning the Dayton game is huge.

Agree 100%, but I am thinking Dayton (W), Baylor (W), Championship game (W).

Would you rather go 1-2 with a win over Dayton? Or 2-1 after a loss to Dayton? Highly likely scenarios

Honestly, it may be better for our RPI to go 1-2. If we get Boston College and Charleston, that's not pretty for our RPI.

God, I ****ing hate RPI.

My thoughts as well. Although, this early in the season, I'm going to say **** RPI and hope for 2-1.

I tell you what, if we face Murray State, that could be one exciting high-scored affair. One for the ages.
