Hey CUBuffs fans. Tweet me any thoughts you would like to share with CU officials on the state of and future of football program.

https://twitter.com/KyleRingo/

I hit him twice.

2nd one was the AB photo of the powder blue bag head fans. He retweeted and so did BuffZone.

Load him up. People will see this.

Ringo also notes that this ended CU's 150 game home scoring streak, going back to 1986.

Worst ****ing offensive show I've ever witnessed...well, I witnessed only the first half. Had to leave before subjecting my 8 year old to more abuse at the hands of this atrocity of a football program.

Don't use twitter much, but I sent him a few tweets. Tired of this nonsense is an understatement. Changes need to be made NOW!

Thx for the heads up nik...

It's about damm time:

I saw that too, and wanted to be encouraged, but he also tweeted:

Kyle Ringo‏@KyleRingo .@im_rob CU president Bruce Benson has already said Embree will return in 2013

I guess the question becomes, are they paying enough attention and are they troubled enough to do the right thing??

I am afraid, very afraid, that their response is that the whole staff comes back in 2013.

Yea but Benson said that about a month or so ago. Maybe, just maybe, he's starting to come to his senses.

Longtime lurker that never posts but appropriate time to post an email exchange with Benson. Me:

Mr. Benson,

The lackluster to borderline pathetic performance of the football team concerns me as a fan and alumni of the University of Colorado. The facilities are in desperate need of upgrading. The current coaching staff includes a head coach that lacks previous head coaching and coordinator experience, and two coordinators that lack previous coordinating experience. It shows. The team is out coached every week by opposing teams. As a fan, this has taken away what used to be a fun part of my life. As an alumni who is married to a CU law school alumni it is embarrassing. My co-workers openly mock the University of Colorado. A pathetic football team stains alumni and diminishes opportunities to attract new students. Long-term failure on the football field threatens all athletic programs that are paid for with football royalties. The crowds will not remain forever if the results do not improve. Please reconsider your lack of enthusiasm for supporting the football program.

Thanks

Dear AKFan,

Thank you for your email. I agree with you that our athletic facilities need upgraded. I have toured them and have seen the need. We are in the midst of a feasibility study to see how our donors are willing to be involved in athletic facility upgrades. The funding reality is upgrades will cost somewhere in the nine figures. It’s fair to say we should do this, but as the person responsible for funding at the university, it’s also fair to proceed prudently. We are looking for serious, committed people to join us and contribute to our efforts, and I hope you will be one of those people. If you have additional specific suggestions for meeting the funding goal, I would be happy to listen.

I disagree with your assessment of our coaches. Coach Embree and his staff have played and coached the game at its highest levels. He has coached alongside a national championship-winning coach and a two-time Super Bowl-winning coach.

We are not happy with where the team is but we are committed to its success. We are rebuilding, which is neither quick nor easy. We have high expectations and we expect results. We are doing all we can to achieve them, but we also understand the need for patience.

Sincerely,
Bruce D. Benson
President

Maybe you could share that email address?? :smile2:

I only know of his general addy

And he doesn't see the difference between being a TE coach and a head coach. We're ****ed.

I know that every middle manager I've ever been around in successful companies was CEO material. Benson gets it.

The exact kind of BS you would expect from a hack who could not care less about FB. Isn't the old coot past retirement age?

There was a fairly young detective a few years ago that ran for Sheriff of a county in central Cali and won. Oddly enough, it didn't work out.

I received almost a verbatim reply to a similar email that I sent.

He doesn't even bother to respond to me anymore. Even when I told them I was stopping donations to like 4 other non athletic things at cu that I donate to.

I'm done. They have to show a real commitment before they get another dollar from me. **** it. There are a gazillion worthy causes to give to where there are competent people in charge doing good works. I don't need these ****s. They can eat a giant turd.
