Nothing personal against the current CU staff they are all loyal passionate Buffs. But, it is not working and a change is needed. I don't think you can properly clean house with out letting Embree go. I like him personally, but he and his staff are not getting it done.

I think we could get Peterson. We can offer him a chance to get out of the Big East and rebuild a program in the PAC 12. Get back the assistants that left for more money Wilcox and Harsin. It would cost a ton, but could pay huge dividends if successful.
Maybe I am too optimistic. so who else would you like to see?

Jack Del Rio
Mike McCoy
Butch Jones
June Jones
Bob Stitt
Nick Aliotti
Justin Wilcox

Peterson From Boise State

sorry, I'm done with Boise State coaches forever. I'm really starting to warm up to the idea of getting a great DC from a BCS team to be our next head coach and then get the guy from mines to be our offensive coordinator.

I like Mike Mccoy and June Jones from the list.

stop with the "next head coach" or anything else that has to do with it....... JE is going no where, he will be the coach next year for CU football. As long as this current AD is in place, there will be no, to little change because they just don't give a ****.

I feel like we need a realistic list. I like all those names, but why would they come here.

Jack Del Rio— Could be in line for another NFL job. Broncos D is playing well.
Mike McCoy — Same as Del Rio.
Butch Jones — On the fast track to a DI big boy job.
June Jones — Maybe. I wouldn't love the hire.
Bob Stitt — Would love him as OC.
Nick Aliotti — He's not leaving Oregon.
Justin Wilcox — In line for a big boy job and certainly better than CU.

I wish I could provide some names. But I'm just not sure who will come here right now.

Maybe we could sway the powers that be to get an all AllBuffs Coaching staff:

500k / year for head coach, 200k for Coordinators, 150k for assistants. We're cheap Benson!

If we suck, allbuffs won't be in meltdown mode. If we REALLY suck, we'll just resign after a few seasons cause that what we're telling these coaches to do. We've got AllBuffers all over the country, so those guys can already work their regions for recruiting. No need to fly us around the country looking for talent.

Any of you guys want to throw your hats in the ring?

Just throwing some guys out there. I have no idea if they are available.
LSU's D Coordinator
Philip Fullmer

If this wasn't his first year, I'd look at trying to poach Rich Rod away from Arizona. I don't know what his feelings are, but I can't imagine he dreamed of being at a school without a great football tradition and playing second banana to the hoops team. Of course lately that may be the case here at CU.

**** Peterson! 3 straight coaches have been hired from BSU to BCS teams and all have failed.

Hiring RichRod would mean that you'd be selling your defense's soul to the devil, and they would be guaranteed to suck. For us, that would actually be an improvement. So sad.

Whoever it is please let's get away from the notion that we can run prostyle. Get somebody who has actually, a dn successfully, implememtned an O and D at the D1 level. Experience recruiting and assembling a staff is a must. You probably are not going to be able to attract a "name" at this point (i.e. Tressel, Petrino), those guys are going to be looking for a high profile job, and frankly, CU isn't it, at least right now. So who is out there?

Sonny Dykes.
Gary Anderson.

After that, maybe some DC or OC candidate from a top flight BCS school.

Diaco. Wilcox.

Please for the love of Ralphie, no more NFL'ers.

I would be good with Dykes. Anderson could work, but would be a big gamble in my opinion.
NFL'ers have had success coming back to college. Look at Carroll and Mora. I would have no problem with an NFL coach as long as they have some college experience. I like Hue Jackson with both college and pro experience.
Also, I am not convinced the Ad will give Embree another year if the booster's really push. We fired Barnett after he went to the B12 championship game. Early that season, I hear we had almost gave him an extension. The evidence is obvious, with all of the blow outs and a lost to Sac State that this staff is not pulling it's weight. I don't see how you can make significant changes to the staff and leave Embree in place to continue running the show. The head coach needs to pick the core of their staff in order to effectively lead them. Changing the coordinators below the coach is just delaying the inevitable. I hope the AD know that and starts with a clean slate.

Every coach is a gamble. Some are like Pocket Aces and Kings (HCNS and HCBS fit this category). Others are like pocket Jacks (HCCK and HCBH were in this category. The Ducks have pretty much run unbelievable after his hire and Hoke will get UMich back PDQ). You get my drift. Every coach has to "fit" to win. They have to get their assistants right, find a QB to fit their system, fade the injury bug, win important recruiting battles, not have their players get suspended, have cooperation from the admin, etc. Sometimes a coach is an abject failure in one job and is a home run hire in another.

Our next coach will be asked to do something that is very tough to do: change the culture of losing that has permeated our program ever since the Corn blasted us in Barnett's second to last game in Boulder. After that, he has to keep recruits, especially Sefo Liufau who has what we need in a QB: someone who can throw accurately on the run, deal with a terrible OL, and lead his teammates to prosperity (even when they aren't very good).
