Our coaches didn't realize we'd gotten a first down.

That single play is a microcosm of our entire season, if not Embree's entire "regime".

They're building a foundation, but it's below the ground so we can't see it. Coach Mac told me yesterday.

Mac said the same thing during the Hawkins era. I don't think he knows the difference between digging a foundation and a grave.

The coaching staff lack of experience is the problem here. The players are not playing smart football.

The poster at the bottom hits the nail on the head: If you're on the hot seat, the one thing you should absolutely avoid is iconic instances that people can point to to argue that you’re incompetent.

Yeah. I didn't think they could top last week's delay of game that immediately followed a timeout burned to avoid a delay of game. I'm watching next week just to see what they can come up with to top this one. It's become must-see tv.

The SBNATION video link is quite telling. Thanks for that. Or, maybe, a big NO THANKS is due? Either way - knowing the bad parts doesn't stop them from occurring. Not with Embree & Co.

Those, the three penalty play against the Ducks, and a couple others would make quite the lowlight reel.

I predict they'll decline a penalty which would have negated a UU score.

Nik, that was so pathetic. I mean, after we ran that it was blatantly clear what had happened. If I were Bohn, I'd fire them just for that play alone. :rofl2:

What hasn't been mentioned (and needs to be) is that the team blindly went along with this. Imagine the conversation in the huddle:

QB: "Alright guys, [QB sneak play] on two. Readyyy br--"
Other player: "Wait wait, isn't that a qb sneak? It's first and ten!"
QB: "Hmm, um...screw it, let's just go with it. Readyyyy break!"

It makes up for the 5th down, we have now payed our debt. Alert the media they no longer need to bring up the 5th down.
