Official "Not renewing my football tickets" Thread

Post your non-renewals here. The AD might be looking at losing 1/3 of their season ticket base.

I'm not renewing 3 tickets.

This goes without saying, but I am hoping that all of those people who are NOT renewing their season tickets next year have let the athletic director know and also the reason why the tickets are not being renewed!!

I'll buy two sets of season tickets when:

1. A proven HC/Coordinator type coach is hired.

2. I'm proven wrong about this staff, and Coach Embree puts a competitive product on the field.

And until one of those things happen, I won't even purchase new CU gear. I'm done spending money, until I see something from the school.

I just can't decide. Don't know what I'm going to do yet. But I feel like I got REALLY ripped off this year.

Well, as I have said before, kids' activities preclude buying season tickets, but this is the first year I haven't taken in 2+ games by means of single gamers. I usually take the whole fam, or at least my boy. We didn't go this year, after seeing the cluster at the Mile High Gulag. I was pretty sure after that I knew where the season was going. After Sac. St. and Fresno it was crystal clear. I doubt I'll bother next year either FWIW, if Embo is retained.

Three going to zero - at least until Embree is fine and I see action that shows that the school cares about their football fans and alumni.

3 in 218 gone. Organizational changes and new facilities might be able to get me to buy 3 in a non-donation section if Embree returns. But even that is unlikely.

I am upgrading. Smart business decision is to buy at the low point.

Are "we" going to purchase season tickets for
raffle/drawing, next year?

I won't be helping to purchase tickets like I have been over the last few years.

As an OOS alum I've bought season tickets every other year. I was supposed to be buying a ticket this upcoming year. I won't. They were the cheapest seats so it's probably not a big loss to the department.

If I do attend, I'll make sure it's on groupon!

When I see a commitment to the program, then I will buy multiple season tickets....

I'm going to call the ticket office next week and tell them I am dropping my football ticket and would like them to make sure I don't receive a renewal form in the mail. If we end up firing the entire coaching staff, I will call back and get a seat.

Are "we" going to purchase season tickets for
raffle/drawing, next year?

It's an excellent question. We have, for the last two years, bought two pair of tickets to each game. There were so many people who didn't bother to show up for their tickets this year that I would certainly recommend dropping from four to two next year, with the potential for dropping them completely. We'll have that discussion once emotions aren't quite so raw.

Plenty of time before renewal letters go out.

I'm leaning towards buying a pair...but I'm rationalizing that my tickets somehow helps cross country.

There's plenty of time to firm up any decision.

I doubt I'll make it to more than a couple of games and may need some help finding a home for those I'm not using.

This is a great thread. It would be great if we aggregated the results and included it in any formal communication with the administration. If we combined this data with the results of the recent polls about firing Embree AND a list of people who state they are willing to donate if the administration fires Embree and commits to hiring a proven HC.

That goes way beyond emotion and talks about the bottom line benefits to them for pursuing a new path.

I have let the athletic director and all the regents i could chancellor and president. i have received 1 response from 1 regent and thats it. i will post if someone wants me too. my family has 6 tickets in a row in section 104. that section is a donation of $200 per ticket. we are all not renewing. unless embree is fired.

renewing at lowest possible cost, which I bet will be less than 100/ticket next year.

We had this thread when Hawk was retained. Plenty of people wussed out and renewed. I expect a lot of the same tbh.
