The most recent rumors that are generally accepted on the football coaching front are:

1. Embree will return in 2013
2. The coaching staff will be gutted - maybe all 9 leave for other opportunities or are fired

We have to do all we can to ensure that this does not happen.

The problem was not that we had bad position coaches. Look at the resumes. CU has had fine position coaches the past two years.

The failure has been a lack of leadership at the top that could bring this talented group together in a coordinated way and get results both on the scoreboard and in recruiting. That has not happened.

Keeping the person at the top and then trying to hire into a situation where the coach is on the hot seat will not upgrade the position coaches. In fact, a downgrade is likely.

Further, this does nothing to boost recruiting. In fact, it would hurt it since it undermines any relationships with prospects that have already been established without a new head coach to outweigh that with the excitement of a new vision.

Finally, this causes another rebuild from within the program. New coordinators mean new systems and concepts that will need to be implemented with recruits who were brought in to run the old system.

This would be an absolute disaster of a plan and we have to do what we can to make sure it does not happen.

We still have a chance while no official word has been publicly given that Embree will be back along with major staff changes.

I will be publishing a new front page letter tomorrow. I and others are sending letters and working what media and other contacts we can. I can assure you that people are taking notice. They are still listening. The window is still open a crack.

So, please do what you can. We know we cannot trust the right decisions to be made without pressure and direction from an informed fan base. We have to go all-out to make a difference.

Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part!

All 9 coaches gone? Nuke this plan from orbit. Seriously, what would this accomplish? It's like the people in charge sit around thinking up ways to make things worse.

I can not imagine, for the life of me, that they would keep Embree and lose all the other nine (9) assistant coaches. That would be the biggest joke of all time.

Fire all nine assistants? Embo was the only one who was right? Please. What a joke.

Not all are going to be fired.

That doesn't mean that the 9 AC coaches won't be here next year.

I don't care if they are fired, or if a couple of them hit the powerball and decide they are not going to coach anymore - if the ENTIRE COACHING STAFF save the head coach is turned over, it will be the biggest joke of all time.

I am hoping against hope, that the silence from MB is because they are getting their ducks in a row to fire Embree.

I'm also hearing that all is not lost, and Bohn's silence speaks volumes.

If the whole staff minus the head coach is going to be gone, where is the sense in retaining the top guy? Fascinating in a terrible way.

Hope you are correct. I assumed it was typical Bohn behavior. Completely disengaged.

If Bohn wanted to be disengaged on this decision, I can't imagine he hasn't had the opportunity. God knows Benson and Phil aren't keeping this issue alive.

Listen to Nik and contact the leadership at CU. as I said in another thread the fat lady has not gotten on stage to sing yet. She is warming up but has not hit the stage.

As long as Bohn is quite and we have not had an announcement, we have a window to influence the process. At this point, the longer it goes the worse it is for Embree and I believe the tide is moving this direction. Take the time to let them know how you feel, include facts, and your history with the program. Let them know you care and it will impact your actions.

Does one have to make an announcement that a standing contract will continue per the original agreed terms?

Considering the circumstances (ie, the complete embarrassment of all things representing the University of Colorado), **** yes.

Well, I agree, but this is CU we are talking about. Perhaps this is situation normal for them and we should expect nothing.

Bohn has reportedly been asked by members of the media if Embree will be the coach next year and has refused to say "yes" or "no". He could have killed this with a simple "yes", but this situation is fluid and a decision has NOT been made.

Believe me there will be an announcement. It may be about changes in assistants and dedication to building the program under Embree or it will be an announcement of a wholesale change including Embree. Should have made it clear. Thanks

I do not sweat any of the football decisions because I already know that no matter Bohn decides, on any issue, it will be wrong. So I am worry free since I already know the result.
